I already have it hosted, I'm just not allowed to distribute it here. The only good place I can distribute it is xbins.

Give em a few, they will get you there.

It also helps to get some names behind your work.

Get some of the big mods to help you out, also post in the gamesave section.  You'll get noticed.

clear cache script gives you an "error" if it goes to delete E:\cache\ and finds that it's not there (which might scare some people but it doesn't mean anything harmful).

create an empty folder and zip it up and then ....

CODE

    Removing backup files...........
    Create Cache Folder
    Removing files from X...........
    Removing files from Y...........
    Removing files from Z...........

if you do this way, after it delete the cache directory, it always has an empty cache folder in e so you can run the script again without getting error.

Just got the SC version working on a 1.0 box with out a problem. Took about 5 minutes at the most. Created all the backups on E:\, including erprom and HDD key.

Very satisfied!!!

did you download it?  That's the important part.  It makes little sense when people backup and then put it back in the same place/media that they were trying to backup.  In other words, they didn't backup.   beerchug.gif

you need to shut up, waffletools is the only good autoinstaller about right now for this, he is doing this work in his free time, for no money, to help noobs. Guys like you should be banned for talking so much shit. Nothing of what you said was constructive, why did you post it? If you dont like waffletools, dont post here, just go take your noob comments somewhere else.

As for the UnleashX question, yeah, waffletools will allow you to stick UX as your default dash should you so wish, its a very promising installer.

I wanted to mock the onslaught of UXE installers, but I am gonna give Waffle a chance. I really like UnleashX, and any way to make it the default in an easier, cleaner manner is worth the effort.

Let's see, I have the 007 installer, and I am gonna give it a go today.

Ldots IS the fucking man, and the softmod scene owes alot to him.

The waffledude respects ldots... he's just making something that the current version of ltools doesn't do (yet).

There are 1.6b PAL boxes on wich ltools doesn't work... or at least not 'visually' (black screen) making it not that n00bfriendly.  Waffletools can handle this (waffle, correct me if i'm wrong here)

UnleashX as dash is pretty cool also...

Would you shut up if he called it just-another-uxe-installer-that-is-not-as-advanced-as-ltools-but-does-the-job-on-all-known-xbox-versions-from-every-region-with-unleashx-as-dash?

jauitinaaalbdtjoakxvferwuad is a bit hard to pronounce so i like waffletools better...

shut up big pimping, what the fuck have you done?

this guy is adding to the installers, he's not cloning, nor is he ripping it off. it is an alternative. it's like saying that the PS2 rips off the xbox, or the Gamecube rips off the PS2 etc. total bullshit

(btw dan does his mods manually, he's never used ltools)

go be helpful somewhere else.

heh heh.

okay guys i have a minor issue. not with the installer, but i was hoping someone could help me.

ok i no longer have an exploitable game, i simply have an installed ltools on my system with the original UDE (heh heh).

anyway basically i wanted to take off ltools and put the UXE on, ltools has not been updated in a while so i wanted to switch over to something else.

ok but here's my problem, i no longer possess an exploitable game. so basically i want to 'factory' my xbox back to retail (on the C drive anyway) then maybe install this, all without rebooting or turning off the xbox.

guys, put your thoughts to work,

Its risky, but it can be done.
I first recommend you make your self a XboxHDM restore cd with your eeprom, just in case, so you wont have to hotswap.

Get all the required UXE files, and basically do a wipe & replace.

It should go quite smooth.
