I didn't want to include any installers for apps and games because I want this to fit on an 8 meg card and I also don't see a point. Somebody was trying to convince me to have it install things from a DVD like D:\Apps\ but then why wouldnt you just go to file explorer and copy it from D to E? Using auto installers for apps is just silly, it's so easy to just copy them anyway.

Edit: Ha, looking over my entry, I sound like a total noob.  Are you looking for more testers?  I have mechassault and splintercell at home, and my xbox is a new 1.6, K:5838, D:5960.  we'll see about those scripts...

true, I do see your point, but what if the xbox was not positioned near a PC for ftp access? This is when the CD thing comes into play (btw, I am still bashing my head on the whole tray-eject-reboot prob, lol). Also, it does make it nice to click on something such as "install all apps" and walk away, when you come back, they are all installed and ready for use. I had it happen to myself that I set up the ftp to throw a bunch of apps onto the xbox, walk away, and i come back to only a few files transfered over, because the FTP session had a fit and hardly any files copied over.

But, as once said before, to each their own. Keep up the nice work on it wafflezone! it looks good!

But unleashx comes with a file explorer that is extremely easy to use, I could tell you how to copy D:\apps to E:\ from boot (on my xbox) with my eyes closed (lets see down down down down down down A down A R down down A L down X start A A). Until I figure out how to compiler nkpatcher to load xbes from where I want (im a bios guy) and have some sort of eject fix, I won't even consider this.

Current iteration of WaffleTools (gamesave mode or tray-state: open)

You *did* know it was a beta and not a fully tested installer now didn't you?

Anyways... a little tut here:

- Does it still boot originals?
YES -> don't panic, you're fine and should be able to easily fix it... look around a bit in the forums...
NO -> step over to the next question

- You've got your eeprom.bin backed up somewhere on your pc right?
YES -> look up xboxhdm... easy fix
NO- > you should have! never try an untested installer without... you're screwed and won't be able to fix it without hotswapping or modchip

sorry if i sound so harsh but these are all facts

HOW did you do that? Worked perfectly for me (other than the video glitchesy with linux incompatibility.

You have a 1.6 box?

Did you stop the installer when the screen went whack?

Also, how did you load the exploit, from a memory card transfer? What type of memory card. Non-MS card have been known to corrupt save games larger than 3 megs.

Error 13 is usually giving for missing or corrupt dash or dash related files.

Hey waffle, just wondering if i could possible get your tools to m3ss around with i have an extra xbox that i have been testing all sorts of things on.  The other one is hard modded so if you have a splinter cell exploit for this that would be grand and willing to test and help get the kinks out.  Let me know.
