I'm using the 'switch eeprom in modded box to virgin box so as to format new hard drive for virgin box' trick... or at least I thought I was, until I noticed I have what may very well be a 1.6 (manufactured in late July).

The encryption key changed from one to the other, obviously... so, how does one go about fixing this garbage? Is there a way around it? I've got a fresh 160 waiting to go into it.
