Ok i have no real clue on what im doing ,all i know is i downloaded a file called xboxhdm_v1.9.zip and im supposed to be looking for another file called UDE_V1.4.zip and i cant find it anywhere, im doing this method on this website here http://www.stonespnl...ge&pid=1&page=2

I used to mod xbox's using the tsop method but i picked up a holiday pack for my kids for xmas and its a 1.6 so no tsop, so i figured i would try this method out and this website makes it seem pretty simple, but i just cant find this file to continue on my quest, could someone take a look at this link and tell me if it is safe and if it backs everything up before i do it.....and if ya got the file that would help an assload as well

P.S
The zip file i did get Xboxhdm_v1.9 has folders and stuff but all the folders are empty, is this normal?

K i got a frined going to there to get me UDEv1.4 but in the tut i read on the link i posted it says after you make the iso file and burn it the file should be the same size as the one in the pic which is only 22 meg, but i found the file from another place and it has stuff in the folders and its like 122meg, so say i followed the link and used the one without anything in the folders, would it just not let me do anything? or would i fuck up my kids xmas present before we have even played a single game on it?

Its ude2 i need right? i have a 1.6 with 5838 or 5383 or what ever the kernel is, its that thats all i know lol

K i got the ude2 file and inside of the folder is 2 zip files one is called s1916928.zip and the other updatefonts70.zip do i leave them alone and rename the folder UDE and put it in the linux folder or do i need to unzip them into the fiolder?

I have not install uxe or ude2 automatically. basically i use xbrowser in xboxdhm and transfer the files manually. Anyway, look in those 2 zip files and see what files are in there. If you want to use the automatic install method (the tutorial) wait for someone to actually did that way to help you because I'm not familar with it.

My frined got me just a file called UDE2 and it only had the 2 zip files inside which doesnt add up to the amount on any of the tuts, he got it from xbins....man could this be any harder to find one file LOL im having a hell of a day

Ok i think i did a boo boo, im in xbrowser and i compied over the Fonts folder then deleted the fonts folder that was in the xbox directory in the first place, so i pretty much replaced it with the one from the uxb or ude what ever it is, is that ok?

And i also deleted the original xboxdash.xbe file and put the new one in instead of renaming it, will that cause a problem?>

Ok i got good news and really bad news

Xbox works mint, thanks a shit load man you rock and i cant belive how cool you have been helping me out with this thanks again

Bad news, i blew my psu in my pc well doing this mod, luckliy, and quite oddly my buddy just gave me yesterday a brand new psu from a pc case he has but he got a bigger one so i got his other one, so i stuck it in here and works great BUT now only 2 outta my 3 hdd's are showing up

not sure yet cause im so tired of touching them so i will check on them latter to see whats going on, might just be hooked up wrong but will have to wait and see.

got the back up folder on my pc and i am burning it tonight after the wife gets off the p3 with the burner lol

Last question i swear lol i remeber way bac kwhen i tsop modded my v1.0 and still had the original hd in, i remeber a tut where you could unlock the other 2 gigs on the F drive, is that possible to do with this xbox now with how the softmod was? or have things changed?

Sweet it worked! damn man i cant wait till xmas, me and the wife thought up a great idea, were gunna buy him an xbox magazine and stick it in his stocking so when he gets up thats the first thing he see's then i will say hey you can use that on my xbox, and leave him like that till all the gifts are gone but that last big one under the tree lol
