I have that Lock-up problem with this game too.

But i don't know what exploit is made in my xbox. (someone made it for me)

I search my Xbox's C: and E: and not found any Boot.cfg  but found bert / ernie instead.

And my Dash is so old (3935) so i'am afraid that my xbox uses boot font exploit , not UDE .

But i want to ensure that , is there anyway to know what exploit is made ?

P.S. If i want to update my dash , do i have to REmod it ?

Do i have to Update my dash ? (what's the benefit using newer dash ?)

My xbox is 1.6
And after carefully search the forum i found out that :

3935 Is Version of Lastest Evox Dash so my dash is not old.
But what is Dash 49xx  you talking about . (since evox dash version only 3xxx)

Is it Xbox Live Dashboard , if so how can i know what version i have (my xbox has 5838.01 K and  (256) Retail 5838.01 bios.)

the M8 bios has IGR and that. It's basically the same as the X2 except it doesn't have xbox live blocking. i took the time to update so that i wouldn't have any problems playing any games, and i've had no problems so far. its for all xboxes, not just 1.6

billybob that wont work, m8 is signed with hababi, we are using Bert and Ernie reloaded so we cant just upload the m8 bios.  It's my understanding that we would have to use the UXE font files or Bert cheated on Ernie, and the bert cheated on ernie only works with a 4034 xbox, which is what I THINK I have but im not sure.

I got a idea, how abuot we set up our pc's so one of you guys can ftp in and fix our box's for us since we are too scared to screw it up.

THe M8 bios is NOT SIGNED. With ANYTHING. THe BIOS LOADER is signed. The bios it loads (xboxrom.bin, or whatever you have it named) isn't. Edit the new m8 with the included evtool to point to your dash, and pop it into your bios loader directory. Bam instant bios upgrade.

I installed m8 bios, cleared the cache and it still locks up... Weird, eh?

i somehow got ltools ude installer to work, so i uninstalled my old hack, and use the new installer.

i chose the bios that i think you all suggested (that would work with doau) i dont remember the name though...so i dont know if i chose the right now, i just know i pressed the yellow button

so it installed, and DOAu still didnt work, instead now it didnt even freeze at the warning screen, it just showed a bunch of crazy colors, flashing, then it froze.

so i figured i installed the wrong bios, and should try the erase it, and install a new one.

you all said it was easy, and i thought it would be to, cuz i found a folder called Biosld or  something like that in my E folder with some files that seemed biosy to me, so i deleted them and put in these files from a folder on my pc called :metoo-m8pack-v1.4

and i changed something in the boot.cfg to M8_LBA48_IGR_Q-06-BFM, so that it would load up that (it said to do that in the readme, and it also said name a backup bios, which i named xboxrom.bin, and it was a different bios which i do not remember what it is now)

and the readme also said to run default.xbe, so i did, and it went to a blank screen, and i thought it did something and was finished, so i turned off my xbox, and turned it on, and now it just shows the xbox logo bubble up, and then MS, and then it just stays at the xbox screen.

i can still load up games, so i used ltools tool again on SC, and got into mxm, but i cant do anything because the ip it shows is wrong, and there is no way to change it, so i cant ftp into my xbox to fix my mistake.

so is my only option left to put my xbox hdd in my pc, and do all that xbhdm stuff?

i ruined my xbox before, and did this, but is this the only way? is there some secret button sequence to change the ip addres of my xbox in mxm?

The IP is set static to 192.168.0.3
So set your PC ip static to 192.168.0.2 and you'll be into your xbox no problem. You should set your pbl config file to boot xbomrom.bin, and rename the bios to xboxrom.bin. Also, edit the bios with the evtool to load e:\dashboard\default.xbe if needed.

OR
Boot the xbox with the tray-open to get to the ltools installer
Rerun the ltools installer, and when it asks you if you want to keep or delete the bios loader folder, tell it to delete it and reinstall (can't think of the exact wording) Choose pbl-metoo. Finish the install.
Then edit the m8 bios with evtool as noted above, and rename it xboxrom.bin and put it in place, overwriting the old one. May be a good idea to rename the old one, to put back if needed.

UPDATE: Yesterday i reburn my game and IT WORKS now W/O having to update anything.

But i play it on DVD , Not on HDD .

This mean my Xbox compatible with DOAU OR this game ONLY Don't work on HDD (i can't play it on hdd cause i don't have enough space).

If it only don't work on hdd maybe i still want to upgrade my Bios.

And After i read your reply what i have to do is

1.Download metoo-m8pack-v1.4 from that place
2.Put it on my xbox hdd


3.Patch my m8 bios with evtool --> HOW EXACTLY can i do it , is there any Tuturial (cause i search the forum and didn't find one)

4. "Once you did that you can upload PBL with your bios and config and upload it to E:\biosLD\ folder. That should do the trick "   --> can i just copy it too biosLD folder ?

I really want to update it but don't know how can do it , can anyone tell me in detail ?

And one thing , if i ruin it and my box fail to boot , can i still FTP it ?
or hotswap is only the answer ?

I had the same problem with the game, but I re-ran the ltools install and chose to re-install the biosLD, this time I chose nkpatcher, and the game worked fine.
