Ok so I've been testing a lot since yesterday, and some people I heard have a similar problem with dead or alive freezing on the Federal warning screen. Now the only fix that worked for me is to put back in my old modchip, whereas it skips the exploit and directly boots evox. And suddenly it didn't freeze anymore. The freezing occured both with UDE and the old font exploit. I haven't tested UDE2 yet but I'm pretty sure it will freeze too. Note that I tried any kind of bios, any kind of dashboard to launch it from it still didn't work as long as I used an exploit. Now I'm not sure if the creators did this on purpose, but so far it's the first game I'm afraid that will not run on soft modded boxes ... It always hangs exactly at this point.

did you ever clear your cache files?

in softmodding, this is 99% of the reason why a game locks.

try deleted the e:\CACHE folder

and then formating the X: Y: & Z:.

usually the above mentioned will cure a softmodded xbox's freezing issue.

Just tried that, but it didn't do much. Didn't format just emptied all those drives though ..

every so often you come across a game that requires a xbe patch, try finding a modified ACL script for dvd2xbox and process the acl, this will usually always fix it.

if not your SOL

does the problem occur with the new evox bfm bios? (the one included in metoo that fixed crimson skies and enter the matrix)

Yeah, I was gonna mention, that the DOA U demo plays fine on my UXE box with generic fonts, unleashx & pblmetoo+M8.
I assume your talking about the demo, since I haven't seem it at retail.

anyone tryed it with the older fonts? I got bert and ernie reloaded my friend installed, scared to upgrade and mess my box up, im a noob.

i have an exploit and want to play this game!

it freezes for me to, i dont know what to do, some one help pls?

right now i have the Bigfonts hack.

and i wanted UDE, so i got rid of the bigfonts hack, and got LTOOLS for SC (latest one)
and whenever it starts to install UDE, my xbox just turns off, so it doesnt install, so i didnt mine much since bigfonts was working fine anyways,

BUT now i cant play DOA:U.....

so what do i do?

Same here, I have B&E Reloaded, was told to get new B&E, so I got Bert cheated on Ernie, and I got PBL 1.4 off the PBL website, not sure if that is signed or whatever though and will work? or if I even got the right stuff?

you two arent listening. krayzie just told you, it is an issue with the bios. get the newer evox bfm.
