Xbox Running Ude2
« on: October 22, 2004, 08:43:00 AM »

Something is not clear for me.
I've done a couple of UDE2 installs with xboxHDM with the hotswap technique.

Changed the HDD's to 120gigs and locked them.

It seems that some of the newer games don't work very well, when the same games work on my chipped box.

For example: Fifa2005

When i run it from the HDD it freezes while loading.

Is this something that can be fixed with UXE? cuz i heard Fifa is running the live 3.0 update?

What exactly can UXE do more than UDE2 on NTSC boxes?

The difference between a soft-modded XBOX and a chipped XBOX is typically the use of a BFM BIOS.  This is distinct from the exploit itself - in this case UXE.  UXE can use NKPatcher, or simply launch habbi signed XBEs.  The use of UXE doesn't mandate the use of a BIOS Loader.  I'd guess it's probably the BIOS Loader, and the BFM BIOS in memory that interferes with the game.  This can be proven by simply habbi signing the game, and skipping the BIOS loader.

"What exactly can UXE do more than UDE2 on NTSC boxes?"  Absolutely Nothing.  But because UXE is global, it means that exploit installers (like ltools etc.) don't need to support different files for different countries.
:)

Clear your cache folder and clear the x,y,z drives.  If that still doesn't get it then, format your e drive using evox.  Make sure you transfer your e drive back over to the xbox before turning it off.
