Ok, I need some help guys. I've got a softmodded Xbox with EvolutionX Dashboard. The mod I used was UDE2 I believe, though a friend did it for me so I'm not entirely sure. I understand, in essence, how the mod works and whatnot, so I'm not totally noobish.
Anyways, I recently bought a 200 gig HDD to replace an 80 gig in my PC, and I now want to put the 80 gig in my Xbox. From what I understand I need to
A) get a new BIOS
B) prep the drive
C) backup my current Xbox HDD
D)
E) lock the drive
A) I'm having trouble, firstly, figuring out how to get the new BIOS on here. I want to use PBL Metoo Edition and put on a EvoX M8 BIOS. I was only able to find PBL 1.3.5i. Is this Metoo? What IS it? I have occasional trouble finding things via the usual sources. I also have 2 Evox M8 BIOS, one of which is "multiversion" and the other of which is version 1.6. Which is newest/best? Once I get all this in order, how exactly do I use PBL? I've looked through the tutorials and I don't get most of them. If you could direct me too one that specifcally answers my questions, I'd be thankful, or if you could answer them yourselves, I'd be even more thankful.
B) Now, once this is done, should I use HDprepar to prepare the new HDD? I've heard that this is unnecessary.
C) I'm currently backing up my C and E drives from my current Xbox HDD. The E drive contains the eeprom.bin file, which I know is of the utmost importance. Is there anything else I need to back up?
D) What exactly do I do at this stage? Do I dump all the backed up files onto the new HDD? I was told by someone to get XboxHDM so I found version 1.9. Is this an adequate version? What exactly am I supposed to DO with this?
E) I'm almost positive my drive is capable of being locked, but I don't quite understand how to do it once I get to that point.
If it's necessary, I'm using the original Xbox BIOS 4034, and my kernel is 1.00.4781.67. If there's any other important info tell me how to find it and I'll get it.
If you guys would help me out I would be so grateful. The friend who originally modded my Xbox wanted to charge me to do all of this, then was kind of a dick to me, so I'm basically re-learning everything he showed me when he originally modded it.
I'd also REALLY REALLY appreciate, as in, this would be so incredibly great I can't comprehend it, if someone wanted to sort of adopt me via AIM.
