Actually it is french. I translated the readme on the net. Nothing though, I'm going to add bring the c back into play. I'm just going to get rid of the one know, and put the old one back in.

Correct? I was also thinking about running slayers as well. More help guys! Please.

you could either use the xml files posted on this page to translate it to english otherwise just put back your old C and delete anything on E other then Udata and tdata.
Then take a nice english installer or complete package next time or do it manually.

Seems like a very good guide....I've yet to try it though, but probably will tomorrow. One question though....If I want to play live, what files do I have to change back to get on without a ban? Or would I be just better off havin a copy of my UXE C drive and my virgin C drive, and just copying them back onto the box when I want to play live or use evox?

Also, say I go wrong somewher during install, and i get some sort of error. Even if I can't get to a dash, I'll always have the ability to boot a dvd as long as it's in the drive on boot, enabling me to restore things from a gamesave exploit?

Ever since I started modding my XBOX I've had nothing but trouble.  When I try to patch update.xbe with command line version I get a Checksum error.  I renamed the file to s2260992.xbe and tried again, still the same thing.  Anyone have any ideas?  If the file is corrupt is there a way I can get one that isn't corrupt without having to download Slayers?

I beg to differ with this requirement. I recently modded a 1.0 Xbox, with no Live tab, with the UXE mod. It worked flawlessly.

I've been using Blackwar install for awhile.  Got an XBOX this weekend that Blackwar couldn't do for some reason.

I followed the steps in the OP and this worked beautiful.  No problems at all.

Thanks to the OP for a clear, concise walkthrough to softmodding a box.

Now to get on with the evox configuration!
