I can understand why ppl who spent weeks trying to get UDE installed might want to be a little paranoid about doing it all again, but this is all just total speculation.
As for newer kernels on xbox1 I don't think we've seen the last.. Xboxes will be sold in stores still after the release of xbox2 just like psx systems, so they could benefit from a new kernel version, but I doubt we'll see anymore changes to the lpc etc, unless they pull what sony is pulling now with the mini system.. Perhaps we'll see Halo2 LE's with a 6066 kernel or something in the next little while:)
Or perhaps they will just include hypnotic, subliminal messages telling us to buy more games and join the army..
