Don't! If UDE1 is working - leave it alone.
UDE2 isn't an upgrade - simply a necessary patch for NTSC K:5713+ XBOXs.

but i want to get on xbox live and with ude2 u can. what do i need to patch so i can get on xbox live?

ude2 acts exactly the same way as ude1 does, ude 1 can go on live too.

you have the light turn orange correct? that is when the bios is loaded.

i thought you said earlier that your led goes orange? anyway when you boot straight into a retial game from cold, the bios/mod/exploit (whatever you wanna call it) is not loaded so it is safe to play on live.

In order to play on Xbox live with an exploit, make sure you have the latest version of the MS dashboard, and be sure to start the Xbox with the game already in the Xbox. If you don't, the bios will load, and if you get on Xbox live, you'll get banned.

Your XBOX needs to be connected and configured to access the Internet.
I had to manually set the IP address, DNS servers, Gateway, etc.

which can only be done by taking off the UDE and then accessing the XBox Live Dashboard i believe.

Agreed.

Restore XBOX to retail state.
Use XBL to update to latest Dashboard.
Install UDE.
