tell you what dragonsprite, man every decent tutorial i have read on this site or any for that matter, has OVER EMPHASISED the fact that you must back up your C and E drive, even if youve done it 1000 times something can always fuck up, i myself have done alot of tsop flashes and alot of UDE exploits on the newer models, and backing up has really saved my ass, in your position all you can do now, as you are a victim of your own stupidity is, buy a modchip and use slayers cd to save ur ass, or get someone to send u the files you need. but i dont think thast'll work

Do you have a firend with a modded XBOX, if so get his C and E drive files, they will work. Actually you can use the C & E drive files from any XBOX.

and NO, I can't give them to you or tell you where to get them. But be assured they are on the net somewhere!

the orignal xbox doesnt need anything on E to boot.

No those will only help in locking/unlock, and reformatting a hard drive.

I have to say this, THAT IS THE DUMBEST AZZ REASON TO MOD YOUR BOX. WHY THE FUK PLAY A GAME IF YOUR GOING TO HAX IT!

I thought I'd let DragonSprite here listen to a similar story I had . . .

Ya know, yesterday I was a bit tired, cause I had to go to my local game place to rrent a game, and it turned out the bastard didn't even have my new Suprman game, so I got that damn Hulk DVD to work on the exploit for it. Only thing was, my car broke down, or as they say in spanish, it was a "nova". Owell, I'll probably get my .organization to get me a new one, maybe one with those new built in games - ya know, kinda like the xbox?

This doesn't have much to do with your story, I know, sorry about that. as for any other help I can give you, I'm not sure if you can download a backup image of the C: & E: drives of the xbox online.

Probably not, I'd bet.

You just gave me the most brilliant solution on earth!!!!! Does anyone know of a popular brand of video store, ie: Blockbuster/Hollywood Video/etc. that allows you to RENT an xbox from them???

I remember movie rental stores did this back in the day. but what about now? I could rent said xbox, run the same gamesave exploit on it, only this time without installing Bert Cheats on ernie font hack, and just FTP backup the C and E drives to my computer and burn it into the xboxhdm linux.iso and load that backup onto my unlocked HD!!! Voila, working Xbox again..

1. get xboxhdm

2. make bootable iso with xboxhdm using slayers "C" files in xboxhdm "c" folder

3. boot up the xbox hd as primary master with xboxhdm

4. unlock using hd password you got earlier

5. use xbox hdm to build xbox hd from scratch option

6. LOCK HARDRIVE WITH THE LOCK PASSWORD YOU GOT THROUGH THE EVOX BACKUP OPTION

Dragonsprite - you are a prime example of someone who needs to try what I did in my post http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=280884.

If you have/can get access to an already modded xbox try swapping to your hd after you have ftp access to the already modded xbox hd and see if you can get hold of your eeprom.bin file from linux back_up folder. That is the only file you really need and can use any C: and E: data - ideally from the modded xbox you are already ftp'ing to. Just means that if you are succesful you will have your xbox in the same state as the modded xbox you are using to rescue yours.

Edit - Actually having just read this post again, I dont understand how you cant get your xbox working again. The ONLY thing you need to salvage an xbox hd is the eeprom.bin that is unique to your xbox. As long as you have that you can put whatever C: and E: folders you can get your hands on.

If you have your eeprom.bin do what toolwerx said and with xbhdm v1.9 you should be able to get your xbox working again. Are you making sure that you are locking the hd after rebuilding it? Use option 6 to obtain the hd lock key and copy it down. Then choose linux with locking tools and type :-

lockhd -p *********************** (*'s being your unique key)

This should then result in a working xbox hd.

I have managed to save 2 xboxs recently by using this method and cannot thank ltools and many other guys on this forum for their continued excellent work and support.

i know you dont have your old c and e files. But you did say you had the evox backup right?
If you do, you can pretty much use ANY xbox's c and e files to get it going again. All you need is the hd lock and unlock key, and your pretty much set.
