Thought About The Ms Private Key

So what I'm getting here is that the info I submitted in no way helps us find the private key?  You guys have a good point though.  It would be bad to rip M$ off but I guess the price to pay for stuff like new dashes or software is softmodding or chips.

It would have been cool if MS didn't make it necessary for an executable to be signed, but maybe optional.

Bang goes MS's plan for making cash out of the Xbox. MS's business plan is charging companies for the right to license their games and, as a result, get them signed. If the Xbox could run stuff that wasn't signed, the companies wouldn't bother licensing the game via MS and MS would make no money.

Thought About The Ms Private Key

They didn't get close to cracking the key, lol, cracking the actual RSA key could take a few million years, but Opx hoped to get lucky and stumble across the key.

What I meant was this seed key, generated by a computer to make the Xbox private and public keys, is alot easier to figure out because not all computers are completely random.

With the right seed key generation code, it could take a few months to find the private key. Not saying anything further unless you really care, heh...

Edit: wrayal, well the day that someone cracks the key, allowing MS's Xbox Live service to be destroyed by backup games and cheats, I'd like to see them get away clean from the hand of a multi-billion dollar corporation that basically tries to sue anyone for anything.
