Try posting it in the right section... you'll get more replies.

And by the way, if the Xbox Image Grabber needs and ftp server running on the Xbox, you won't be able to get images while playing games as the games don't run ftp servers.....

Uhh... no.  You could not be more wrong.  It doesn't require an ftp at all.  It requires a debug bios either boot from media or on flash.  What would be the poing if it only took snapshots of your dashboard? hehehe...

Did you not notice the if in front of that statement? I didn't really read about how it works, which is why I put the IF in there because I was just guessing how it would work...

besides that, no one can tell you the rc4 keys anyways so find them yourself...

CODE
*** WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS WORK ***

For obvious legal reasons, this package does not contain:
- RC4 keys
- eeprom keys
- debug bios
- files from the XDK

I have absolutely no idea where you would find any of these things, but should YOU happen to
know where to get them you would probably want to put:

1.The RC4 keys and eeprom keys in:
  xbox\conexant\apps\pbl-debug\boot.cfg
  xbox\focus\apps\pbl-debug\boot.cfg

2.The Gueux 1.4 Boot From Media Bios in (for Focus Video support)
  xbox\focus\apps\pbl-debug\xboxrom.bin

3.Complex or TATX Bios in (for Conexant Video support)
  xbox\conexant\apps\pbl-debug\xboxrom.bin

4.The xbdm.dll from the Debug dashboard in
  xbox\focus\xbdm.dll
  xbox\conexant\xbdm.dll

5.The following files files from the XDK in 'pc/bin':
  xbcapture.exe
  xbreboot.exe
  MSPdb60.Dll
  mspdb70.dll
  MSPdb71.Dll
  msvcr70.dll
  msvcr71.dll
  msvcr71d.dll
  xboxdbg.dll

The above listed files will be on your system already if you have Studio .Net and
the full xDK already installed.  Note: You do not need to have Studio .Net and the XDK
in order to use XIG... you only need the above-mentioned files. The files are in the
following directories:

The .exe files are in C:\Program Files\MS Xbox SDK\xbox\bin.
The .dll files are in C:\Windows\System32

Maybe you should think about who your talking to and where.

Anway, image grabber, and really the whole debug setup are going to take you more than a day to learn, if you have a deadline maybe setting up the xdk isn't the way to go. If this is the case, try to find another way to write your review. True, a review isn't as much without the pictures, but find some generic pictures on the internet that you might be able to use (royalty free, no copyright etc).

If your still hip to the thought of using the xig, do a little more research on how to setup the xdk bios and dash. And certainly, if you are too lazy or whatever to do this, your definately asking in the wrong forum.

If you really just want the answer handed to you without any work, you should at least try asking somone who knows - maybe in the Development forum.

(also i don't know if xig will work with retail games - maybe find this out before u come to a dead end after learning about it all)

anyway, have fun, and i hope you learn something and later you can help somone else who is asking for the all the answers instead of wanting to research it themselves.

keep us posted..i am interested in using the xbox image grabber.  i just did a search and ran into your thread.  when i get home, i will do some research and try it myself.

the mods should move this thread to the correct forums instead of people posting up and saying to post it somewhere else.
