Dude if you are hotswapping you do not need the memcard. Whatever method you choose to mod, but with hotswapping I find UDE or UDE2 to be the best method. (speaking of my own experiences). Depending on how old your xbox is, look up both of them for more information, now they'll speak of gamesaves as well, but when hotswapping you are not using them. Look up on tutorials on how to use HDD_Driver or fatXplorer as well.  beerchug.gif

Hey anjilslaire, don't be so cynical.
I had the original retail games, and made backups for security.  The original discs are lost/damaged.  Isn't that what backup is for?!
Don't be so presumptuous!

technically if your orignal is lost, you are required to destroy any backup copys of it.

Hey DaddyJ, either you're yanking my chains, or you're severely mistaken.
I'm so shocked by your lack of common sense that I don't know how to respond.
What is the point of making backups if you must destroy them when the originals are damageds/lost?  Why make backups at all?
I don't know how to approach this.  I am totally flabbergasted by your stupidity.
Do you make backups of your important documents?  If the original files are lost, do you go and destroy the backups?  LOL!  You made me laugh today.  Thank you.  Oh, one more thing,...  Please let go of my chains.  LOL.

Documents are totally different than copyrighted data. When you plop down $50 for software, you don't own it, you're paying for the opportunity to use it as stipulated in the EULA.

Do a little reading about about this sort of thing. You need the original if you have a backup. You make the backup so your original DOESN'T get lost or broken. Quit insulting people when you are most clearly wrong.

I'm so sorry for my stupidity, I had no idea of your greatness. smile.gif
But for one, have you ever read a SOFTWARE COPYRIGHT.
All of which is expressed in written form with each ORGINAL you may or may not own.

Like stated above, you purchase a license of use to the software.

If you purchased the actual ownsership copyright, then it would be legal for you to make copies and distribute.

But once again I do apologize for my stupidness.

Point well taken smile.gif

lol

P.S.
I stated you need to destroy backups if your orginal is LOST. If you own a damaged orginal, you are still entitled to your ONE backup copy. Learn to read.

Where did I say lost or damaged.

Damaged = you may use/own a backup copy.

Lost = you must destroy any copies you have.

And unless otherwise stated in the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA) you may only have 1. I REPEAT 1 BACKUP.

Uhm well once you bought the software you paid for the rights to use it so it makes no sence you would have to destroy any backups if you lost/destroyed the original since you did payd for the right to use it. Anyway this is turned more into a legal issue thread and has less to do with exploits. Why don't you guys just call it even.
