I am new to this and purchased a pre modded xbox online. It worked great for a while and now I have issues. WHen you turn it on it loads to the screen where I can choose Memory, Music, Settings, or Phoneix. Usually I would choose phoenix and then get to choose my games or apps and everything was great. Now when i choose Phoenix the screen goes black like it used to but instead of the white text saying Phoneix Bios was being loaded it stays black. I can hear the xbox sounds in the background but nothing happens. The guy i bought it from said it sounds like my software is bad but I have done nothing to my knowledge that would have corrupted it. He said no mod chip is installed and instead he used an exploit and I am wondering what i need to do to reinstall the software to the xbox. I donwloaded the Frost Bios loader and was interested in that but I don't know what to do. Sorry if I wound like an idiot or posted in the wrong forum. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. I am a PC tech so getting technical if needed should be okay(now I must really sound like an idiot). PS. the guy i bought it from wants $50 to repair it so fuck that.

Your box seems to be fine as a 'Xbox' so don't blame the seller for the charge, it is pretty fair to me especially it was in a good state when it was delivered.

You first step is to first gain access to the HD. This would mean either game save or hotswap as your exploit no longer works.
