Well they are usually in the name of the file like, (M8_LBA48_IGR_Q-06-BFM.bin)
There are a couple utilities to convert the bios to BFM, search around for those, or search the usual places to get the bfm verisons.

Yes BFM = Boot From Media

the m8 bfm isnt really a bfm, it's somthing rehmenhal (i know it's a gratious spelling error, but meh) made. it's like a bfm but has some changes here and there to make it more user friendly.

QUOTE (rmenhal @ Aug 16 2004, 02:02 PM)
It is as much bfm as any other bfm bios. It's actually more than some since the kernel takes care of the shadow rom unlike those retail 3944-5101 kernel based images and evox m7 bfm (X2 kernel seems to have support for shadow roms too).

The 2bl isn't the same as used in other bfm bioses so it doesn't load with old PBLs.

well what i meant was that it's not a normal bfm bios, it's a bit unique...

in a VERY good way.

Adding C:\evoxdash.xbe cleared it up and m8 and 4983.67 both boot flawlessly. Thanks for the help guys.

No, it's on my E:\ drive. I'll try copying it but is there a way to change the location it looks for?

yes you can edit your bios, but if you use ntkpatcher c:\evoxdash.xbe is the only accepted way.
