Just Wondering Bout My Chip
« on: December 01, 2004, 11:01:00 AM »

ok just wondering with my matrix chip when i switch it off with the 2 dip switches to on, in testing mode / disabled mod.

my evo X dashboard still loads up with this chip set to disable/test instead of my original m$ dashboard and if i physically take out the chip and then try boot up, i get one of the crappy m$ error codes.

anyone know how fix this?

if evox dashboard is still loading with the matrix chip in disable/test mode is the chip really safe from being detected from xbox live?

thanks !

Well does your chip go red.  If it is read then it is disabled.  I can not remeber what it was to disable the chip but I think the off off was mode 4 or flashable I was under the impresion that one was off and the other was on.  I will look it up later and reply what they should be but the chip has to be red led lighted.

o  yea, according to the manual it's diabled, it flashs red.
it's not in the other mode flash ready.

just wondering because it's still loading up the evox dash instead on the m$ one if xbox live will screw me if it's like that.

Ok I would try on on and see how that works.

Also the flashable mode is orange flashing.

If your loading evox then it is enabled and you will get banned.

Well then I would wonder if your tsop was flashed or if the mod chip is flashing red becuase the green led is burnt out.  I was thinkin it was a solid red and not a flashing red.  For right now it is ether the matrix is not disabled or you have tsop flashed or you have some other font exploit loaded.  ether way if your xbox will play an dvd-r game then your gona get banned.

i've got a new harddrive & eeprom for xbox live and that new harddrive is clean with just m$ original stuff on it now.

when the chips disabled the m$ dash is loading which is good news.

p.s. the green l.e.d. isn't burnt out, and it's flashing red in disabled mode.

how could i have flashed my tsop and where can i find more about this?

i thought you had to solder something to the motherboard to do a tsop flash.

You are correct.  If a backup is working at all then the chip is not infact disabled.  I would enable the chip and put evox on and rename the xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe and copy the evox.xbe to the xboxdash.xbe and see if it will load the evox when disabled.  This is a really good test since a retail xbox will not load evox.xbe since it is not signed.

hi again (thanks 4 the help so far)

i renamed the evoX dash xbe to xboxdash.xbe and the orignial to m$dash.xbe, disabled the chip and it's loading up the evo X dash.

Whats my problem then? modchip disable broken, or TSOP flashed?

Then remove the chip and you will know if the TSOP is flashed but I am guessing so.

bios is evoX d6 eject
1st i try disabling it by switching the dip switchs on the chip to disable/test mode.
But the dashboards still loaded up, and backups still worked.
So then i take it out of the xbox physically, then i get all the error codes and black screens etc.

i was wondering about the tsop being flashed, i thought u had to solder some points on the board to flash it. Alls i got is my no solder matrix chip, and alls i've used is evoX dash and Slayer install discs, is it possible to somehow flash it like this or do i need solder some points on my motherboard to my chip?

thanks 4 the input ;)
