That's an awfully strange problem to have linux boot up randomly, especially if it's not installed. Insure he isn't speaking of the PBL screen on bootup. He may believe this to be linux for some odd reason. Other than that I can't give you an explanation on what's happening. Give me a few more details on what is happening. K/D versions etc.

EDIT: Ahh, didn't think of the tray eject function krayzie. That's more than likely the problem.

Well, I'm unsure if his tools base the traystate functions on a seperate .xbe or the code resides in the fonts itself. If there is an .xbe within e: called dual-habibi.xbe or something to that affect replace it with his PBL and there should be no eject function any longer. If it resides in the fonts - you will need to either manually edit the source code and recompile the font or d/l a version of the fonts without tray state decision making.

the xbox will boot to another xbe depending on the tray state. Like Anger said if you wanna disable it locate the dual-habibi.xbe on E: and replace it with the default.xbe on E: (renamed to dual-habibi.xbe).

*edit* Okay seem like ldots put the dualbot.xbe on C:. Look for the default.xbe and do as above.

Exactly but since you stated that the dualhabibi.xbe is located on c: - place your PBL on c: with the 'dualhabibi.xbe' name.

no, seems like your font will look for dualboot.xbe on C so rename the xbe you want to load (pbl) to dualboot.xbe and put it on C

No, you just replace the dual-habibi.xbe with pBL - this is the first .xbe launched (has traystate decisonmaking built in ) Remove this .xbe and replace it with PBL. That way the traystate decisionmaking is never launched. Make sure you transfer over your bios and boot.cfg etc...

the tray state code was actually introduced by angerwound in the UDE fonts and later got a separate xbe made by rmenhal. You can see this as an aditional option in the total exploit. (so not only ldots uses this and you can run any xbe with the tray open so not only the linux toolbox)
