Ude/ude2 On Xbox Live Tutorial
« Reply #45 on: October 28, 2004, 09:58:00 AM »

im a paranoid mofo, so i got a new HDD for hacks, and reverted the 8gb to a virgin state for live!.

the end.
no doubts about being banned.
i'd be hella surprised if i got banned using a stock virgin HDD (it'd have to be able to tell the drive wasnt in the holder, and..uh..no.)

Recently there was an update for Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow for Live and it said "You cant play on live without this update" so i hit ok to let it update and when it went to reboot i got error 21. So what i did was Uninstall UDE from ltools menu then loaded the game and let it update and it worked out fine. Just thought i'd tell you all.

Ude/ude2 On Xbox Live Tutorial
« Reply #48 on: November 29, 2004, 11:34:00 PM »

im having a problem, i use mechasualt exploit, i followed all the steps , i use 1.6 xbox

I followd the steps, setup a live account, then installed Ude 2.  i pop in mechassult retail game to play on xbox live, but it never connects.  I cant go into the troubleshoot, it just hangs on a black screen.

so what i do is uninstall ude2 and try actualy playing a online match before getting ude installed.

It doesnt connect, howevver I can get into the trouble shoot.  i change the IP address to auto, and it connects fine.

i fire up mech assult again, this time it connects, but it says i need an update,so i go ahead and update it, works good. i can play online.

but, the problem with that is now my save for which i use to exploit doesnt work, it says unknown for all the info of my character.

so im guessing xbox live did something to my save or the game folder, cuz now "run linux" wont work.

so im wondering if i can change those values of my ip address to auto with ude 2, is it possible? or if i just need a different game to use for setting up xbox live

thanks in advance

smile.gif

ude2 install i understand i boot the linux disc on my pc swap ide's etc. boom done ude is installed

now i have a 1.6 crystal xbox. that i am currently playing live on. mainly only halo 2 smile.gif

so now i need to make sure i know what im doing

since my xbox is 100% updated.
i am using :
- xboxhdm_v1.9
- UDE_v1.4

now the bios it wants to use im going to use the latest m8 bios with a flashing led to tell me its enabled and live protect.

so now i run this program etc and my xbox has ude2. am i safe to boot live? right?

this is wut i understand so far.

Now is there a mech assault game exploit that will install the above also? because if i need to do a dash update i will need to revert to stock and update then reinstall the ude2 files.

but for a game update i will just need to revert to original, install updates, then revert back to ude2 NOT needing to reinstall. so this can be done two ways from what i see.

1: create a game save exploit to swap all the files from the ude2 hacked files back to the stock files. then u can run my game updates and run the reverse of the above script.

2: or simply ftp in with my pc using the mech evox exploit. manually rename/move the files and replace with my stock backup then update and revert back to ude2.

now option 1 would work best as if u arnt at home and need to update a game u can do it as long as u have the game. (assuming u leave the save exploits on the xbox)
but i do not know how to do this.

i am looking for 2 save exploits for mech assault mainly
1: to install run and do the ude2 setup from mech assault launch menu
2: restore the c: files to stock

-now 1 is tricky. u would need to launch a script off a mem card to ftp to the box. then upload the ude2 install files as they are larger then a memory card. so u can ftp them in. reboot then launch THAT save file to run a linux program to do the ude2 install.

-now if u also have a save game exploit that allows u to revert back to stock for any and ALL updates u simply need to run the above ude2 install setup to reinstall ude2 ont he c drive

am i making any sence? and how hard will it be for me to make a mech ude2 installer. IF one hasnt been made? if so then how hard is it for me to make a exploit to revert back to stock?

thanks for reading above smile.gif any help would be great OR just ignore my ramblings but i see how this could work

i just need my first thigns verified. installing ude2 on my live updated box threw my current method WILL or WILL NOT work? smile.gif

thanks!!!  pop.gif

I would be very carefull with this tutorial. The banning issue is still not solved and there are no definite answers how these bannings occur. It could also be that M$ is only checking certain regions due to local laws. Fact is lots of people were getting banned that were using this method.

A safer method is using an evox script to revert c:\ to retail state whenever you want live.  It is suspected that m$ might be checking xboxdash.xbe now when you go on live, and if it doesn't find the correct file... ban.  I believe this is thanks to those dicks who learnt how to boot modified backups on live to cheat.  Thank them.

Hmm, how ironic. I noticed that this topic says nothing about the new methods MS use now to Ban. In my opinion, this Tutorial should be removed because it's outdated & was released before MS started using these new banning Methods!
