What is going on here ? You cannot patch the update.xbe and you continue the exploit ? You are asking for trouble .

How did you do the exploit ? if you did it through game save, restore back to the old state ASAP.

did you rename the update.xbe to s????????.xbe then run the correct s????????.exe to patch it?

replace the ???????? with the correct numbers of your update.xbe

I think you got the wrong file...big time?

Its supposed to be under 2Mb!

Try getting a copy from 'the usual places' off Slayer's disc.

Name it s2260992.xbe
Run s2260992-s1916928.exe
You should now have a file called s1916928.xbe in the folder too

If that doesn't work your update.xbe is screwed...

edit: RiceCake - there is more than one update.xbe file... probably more than the 4 we have patchers for... but they are all patchable..

Dashboard version 5960


If you have the s2260992 update.xbe:

Rename the s2260992 update.xbe to s2260992.xbe and execute s2260992-s1916928.exe
(make sure both exe and xbe are in the same diretory)

this is the update file that i have. this file is that size and suppose to be that size. the patched file suppose to be under 2.0mb but it can't since i cant even patch this file even though the data matches correctly

Your XBE must be screwed. What size is the one from your xbox (not some crappy installer's xbe)

Yes - there is a patcher for 4920's update.xbes... but again, WHY did you download an installer just to get an update.xbe already on your xbox?

so why when i use the patched 4920 update.xbe i get a grabled screen at the top. is there something that suppose to be done with nkpatcher. do it suppose to be 6kilobytes

so what update.xbe did you use, its normally located in C:\xodash\update.xbe
