Just to let you know, I softmodded my xbox and it worked FINE!!!!!

Just a few things:

If you are using Splinter Cell, you must get the first version game "Stealth Action Redefined", otherwise it won't work.

interesting issue,

this is my first softmod, but ive got 2 chipped boxen, so this is a lil new to me..

grabbed ldots ltools_MA_1.8rc1.zip and also the older 1.75 ver

first tried 1.8 and went thru the motions to install UXE everything looks good im making my selections, till the last screen, says Ltools Dashboard pack unavailable Only MXM is available

so I was like wtf?

tried 1.75 and did the UDE install, with same error basically

went back and reread tutorial... added the update.xbe.zip to my 1.8 thing, and went thru the motions of install again... still getting the Only MXM is available...

any ideas?

this is a 1.0 xbox, using AR to transfer to memcard (tried 2 the AR and an official xbox)

Also, whenever I FTP to copy the game (D: Drive) to my computer, the FTP always says its finished, when its missing some files

Ive wasted 5 blanks trying to Backup my copy of KOTOR 2, but It keeps failing. But now I realise its because of this problem.

I never had any of theese problems when I was using Evox, its just the Clock Loop that bugged me

update to my issue... worrying that my AR was corrupting files i simply did a gavesave exploit to get evox, then ftp'd in and put ltools_ma_1.8rc1 in place manually, rebooted went thru motions again... and still getting the only mxm available thing... i cant be the only one getting this can i?

Is there a way to load ltools files directly from pc to xbox via ftp.

I have a x2 2.6 lite no solder chip. I want to flash the TSOP of my friends, but I think a softmod would better suit him. What do you think?

If TSOP flash is better then what files do I need to transfer over and how via ftp in order to flash the TSOP? What bios should I flash, EvoxM8 and then what dash?

Really confused on which route to go. Please advise.

I can solder the two points for the TSOP, I have everything I need.

Just need to know which way to go and if TSOP is better what files to send over via ftp or if the ltools is better and exactly how to transfer the files necessary and where on the xbox. Will I still need the game Mech Assault to load the save game file, etc.

All these tutorials are confusing.

OK, i have a v1.6 box kernel is 5838 dash is 5960 i am using an official M$ memory card and have tried both ltools 1,7,5 and 1.8 for MA. My mech Assault is the game of the year edition. I extract the rar and send the file via ftp to my currently modded xbox (xecuter chip). I put the gamesave (run linux) on the memory card. I put the memory card in the unmodded v1.6 box and send the file to the hard drive. I dont have any other mechwarrior files on the drive. I put the game in the drive and try to load Run Linux but the error message "Unable to load <Run Linux>" appears on the screen. What am i doing wrong? Do i have the wrong version of the game?

so, i was wondering after u have all this installed can u just put 007 back in recall that gamesave and click uninstall ude and it will return ur xbox to a original unmodified state right>?

ooh and does this exploit suffer from loop back? I unplug and move my xbox a lot..

i think you need to download the itools dashboard pack and unzip it into the gamesave file. It gives you evox, avalaunch and unleashx.

or you could always change the dashboard afterwards

How exaclty do you unzip the dashpack into the gamesave file? I only need to add EVOX, I'm using an official memory card.

I have ftp acsess to the xbox. just a little foggy on how to add EVOX to the ltools_MA_v1.8.rc1.zip file from the ltools_dashes.zip file.

I want to be able to install EVOX when initially installing the UXE.

I just read this tut but I want to clarify,

I have ltools v1.7.5 007

Will this work on my brand new 1.6 US version xbox?

Do I need to download anything else besides what I have above?
