what do you mean revert back to your backup, nothing has changed (but if your talking to the other guy my bad and I hope you can fix your problem). It's still the stock xbox I got, so what do you mean? Has anyone ever tried it on this kernel, and version?

hi all....i am having MAJOR problems. I am trying to get FTP access to my recently purchased refurbished xbox. Kernal ver: 5101 and dash: 5659

i believe the 5659 dash is causing problems, however this tutorial makes it seem like the game save hacks should work.

I have tried the Mech Assault game save exploit and the Splinter Cell game save exploit. I have tried all of these:
splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc.zip, ltools_MA_v1.7.2.zip, ltools_v1.7.2_SC_NTSC.rar, and the other MA one from xbins....

I have used the update.xbe from a 4920 dash (with the ltools packages, yes i am zipping it as update.xbe.zip), both from my other xbox and from SlaYer's pack. Everytime I try and load the saved game this xbox errors 21.

All I really want to do is get the eeprom.bin so I can put in a larger hard drive. If anybody has any ideas why I am getting 21'ed please let me know. Also if anybody has a way of retrieving the eeprom.bin (w/o using a mod-chip) other than FTPing into the box, please reply.

Yeah, I've heard of the AR memory card corrupting a save. Happened to a friend of mine recently... he tried madcatz, but I wonder if the M$ one is any better?

I cant get it to work I have K:5838 D:5659 When i indtall ude 2 pick all my options it goes to a green screen and does wired shit. If its not possoble with ude is there any other exploit for it? I was reading somewere else that the light goes ogrange the green blinking when its done. Ok its done i geuss but how do i load the dash I turn it on nothing i turn it on eject button nothing.. any help plz another

UPDATE>>> on this for me i just ftp back into the box and looked to see
if the installer had even copied any files to the c drive no it did not

I loaded evox via 007 auf then i added in the ltools_007_v1.7.2 save and i over wrote all other files. I then rebooted and launched throgh 007 and chose instal ude and chose install ude2 and then all that happens and it dosne work any suggestions.

Just found this in the Log
ERROR! You asked for UDE2 but the Xbe region of your xbox is :
Tue Jul 1 16:01:25 UTC 2003 Aborting...

anything anyone ??

I've got a problem guys.. I know this is going to be a noob thing, but here it is. I've got a 1.0 ver xbox and have installed the 1.7.5--ltools via the 007 go around. Everthing goes perfectly until i try to install the ude package. It says i need the update.xbe (or something like that). How and where do I add that to the installer and can I get that from the *usual* place. I've already copied the hdd key and backed up the c: so I should be ok for now. I need to get an ethernet crossover cable to ftp into my pc, but i would rather config and install through Action Replay. I'm trying to get this going tomorrow so I can show my fellow co-workers that this knid of stuff can be done easily. thanks guys <S> skate

Please Help Me. Alright, I am going to rent Mechassualt form blockbuster, I was wondering since some of you got 007 Platinum Hit to work, if the blockbuster copy of MA is Platinum too, will it work?
and, I DON'T want to FTP my xbox, jsut get EvoX on it through this ltools MA gamesave, and play backups, thsi will work, right? I don't have to FTP for EvoX or playing backups?

also, can someone explain to me how I can get EvoX as my Dashbaord? Is it included in ltools MA?

and, thank you for this amazing tutorial, i was afraid of modding thru a chip and opening the box, but thsi is so sweet!

I got the box working great!!!! Thanks ltools for all the hard work in making this package. I used my crappy *patched* version of MA to get the update.xbe going. After that, installation is a breeze!

Resmonkey2, MA platinum *WILL NOT* work, nor will the xbox live edition of the game. you need the original disc.. help me out with the serial#here guys. Evox is packaged in all of the new ltools installers, and you will get a choice to select your dash before installation occurs. I would suggest that if at all possible, ftp to your box and backup all original files, but it sounds like you don't have access to that, so make sure to backup once in the installer.

Anyone wanna help hold my hand through linux installation on the box..(didn't think so, but if anyone has some good info to pass along then it is very welcome.)

unrar = use winRar to extract a file
dongle = dvd dongle for watching movies with remote
