krayzie I'm using the Evox M8 bios which was included in ltools1.7.5. I understand there is a newer version of this bios after ltools1.7.5 was released. Is there any point to trying to install the newer version? What benefits would it have if I was able to do this. Thanks.

at the risk of sounding like a fanboy... THIS IS AWESOME! it worked for me like a charm.

i was modding a 1.6, ntsc. used UDE2, metoo, evox, blah blah... it was a snap. now i have a hapily modified 1.6

edit: one question... now that i've got it modded, what's the best way to go about booting up other dashboards? do you flash the onboard with a different bios? or is it better to just rename the xbe's that are there...

Just a question:
I have a 1.6 PAL xbox
Mechassault (not platinum)
and plannting on buying an action replay

If I perform this mod willt it work just as good as on other version of xboxes (1.0 - 1.5).
Will XBMC work fine?

The last question:
I'm would like to put an 160 gb harddrive in the xbox... are there any guides out there for 1.6 xboxes?... and yes I have been searching the forums but have'nt found the answers I'm looking for

Well I don't know about PAL Xbox's as I only had a 1.6 NTSC Xbox and used ltools1.7.5 exploit. I was able to make the default dash XBMC very easily just be renaming the existing E:\Dashboard (which Evox was in which is what ltools1.7.5 decided to use) to Dashboard_Evox and making the XBMC root folder E:\Dashboard. It boots right to XBMC and I can choose other dashes in the Programs menu if I want to load Evox or UnleashX.

I got all teh files and the AR software, but teh AR icon isnt green, which means it dosent recognise my memory card. I am using a 256 mb Cruzer mini usb device thingy. I put it in my xbox first so it formats it as an xobx memory card, but the AR still dosnet recognize it, what should i do?

Getting Garbled Graphics?

Ok I had problems at first with garbled graphics but I thought I would share what happend. For some reason it didnt work with evox dash and xecuter bios the graphics were all screwed up! So what I did was uninstall the exploit then reinstall and I had to use mxm dash and M8 bios and it works fine now I dont know what the problem is but for some reason it didnt work with evox 3935 and xecuters newest bios. Is this normal because I didnt read that it would cause problems anywhere on X-S. replaced MXM with XBMC and it works fine also? So does anyone know why it didnt work with evox and xecuter bios? Someone helped me out it was that the 1.6 xbox doesnt support xecuter bios yet so you have to use M8 bios.

Just got a MS mem card last night and I have an exploitable SC.. I have the save on the mem card fine.. I can copy it off the card to the hdd and execute the exploit perfectly, however if I skip copying it to the hdd I cannot see the save on the memory card in the game itself. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if maybe its just necessary to copy it to the hdd. (I know its a good idea to copy it anyways)..
Side note: On a 3944 w/Slayers update.xbe (UDE1) I could not get evox to boot.. I tried PBL-Lite and Metoo w/4981. PBL-Lite made it to a black screen with quiet funny audio. Metoo froze at the MS text.. The LTools installer booted perfectly in both cases.. In the end I manually installed v4 kernel specific fonts w/PBL-Lite and it boots faster than any UDE machine I've ever seen. (I love version 4 fonts!!)
Also, the installer ran fine without the older kernel patch..

ok, i had Live working fine last night, haven't done any major things to my xbox, but now i can't get on live...and i'm booting the xbox with the game inside the tray, so it should bypass the hacked bios like before, but i guess it isn't? Any ideas on what to do? should i reinstall the UDE?

Ok, I'm getting a lot of questions about the versions of the disks; basically, if you boot the gamesave and you get the error screen, you have a patched version of the game.

The best source of info on versions would probably be here: http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=253982 There is data on all three games.. Please update the list with your own findings as long as you are confident your data is accurate.. (Remember saves sometimes get corrupted)

I don't know what is up with my xbox. i followed your instructions and when i try and install UXE i get this error that says:

cannot create /mnt/E/UDATA/4d530017/6ZD64BEDF155/ltools.log: No such file or directory

what am I doing wrong?

the screen also says i'm missing a ton of files, but i checked the save and i put ALL of those files on in the save. what is going ont? i ftp'd and tried putting the files in the E drive, where it's trying to find the file, but it says it's not there. help!
