What ever happens I am glad some one is investing is seeing the scene expand itself, make itself more accessable to the masses. You guys, whoever actually does make the site, you really should be paid. Thank-you for your trouble. Good night.

What better name for the site than XBOX INFO CENTRE. Sorry if I stole dev's thunder.

Lol, funny, this is actually whats going to happen. In the exploits section its gonna get worked into XIC'.

And as for the simpicity resons, well proven methods, etc, I agree. But the problem isn't that there's too much development, the problem lies more in the fact that MS keeps updating their crap on us and then overhauling all the old tutorials for it is a pain.

That and even well tested methods will get updated every-so-often.

But the fact is with this I'm probably not gonna include every detail for you. If your not competent on any standard computer and don't understand FTP's, telnet's, IRC, etc, I think you need to reconsider softmodding.

Sure making it easy is well, easy for you, but you gotta remember alot of people are idiots and figure they know it all after, or total it because there too stupid to realise that no guide is perfect and they "know what they're doing".

"I dd teh smae thing 2 my frnds box that i did 2 mine but his karnal was higher then mine i looked b4 i did it but i did it anyways and now it fuked plz help me i r stupid"

Softmodding was more of a proof-of-concept than a way for several thousand people to think it was easy and total their Xbox'es.

Is it easier to total a Xbox by sofmodding than modchip/TSOP ? I believe it is safer(if not 100% safe). Too bad people don't mind paying others to hardmod for them but mostly think that softmod should be free or that they can do it by themselves(without careful planning).

ldots tools has made it also 'fool proof'

You have a good point there chimp - the only ways to total an Xbox with softmodding are hotswapping (not required) and screwing your eeprom (also not required)... unless there is something i'm missing here?

1) Mess up your EEPROM so your Xbox will no longer boot right, requiring a debug BIOS on a modchip and a new hard drive.
2) Unlock your hard drive and lose the password for it.
3) Mess up your EEPROM setting so you can't see anything.
4) Delete the MS Dashboard and get stuck having to hotswap the hard drive (Which might mess the hard drive).
5) Accidentally run a Live update and all hell will break loose on your dashboard exploits.
6) Corrupt the hard drive running some stupid tool.
7) Can be a pain to access Live without getting booted off.

Sure, there's problems with modchips and softmods alike. But by far as long as your not an idiot and badly flash your TSOP - and you don't solder a modchip 1/256th of an ass (Or none if its solderless), a modchip can be alot more flexible, compatible, handy, and even easier.

Fyi: Tools might be foolproof, but trust me too many people don't get it - its not %100 idiot proof!

Edit: Yeah there free, but free means easily accessable, and easily accessable means too many tightasses who can't bother learning first!.

On a side note, I'm excited about this entire project being added to XIC.  VAV GG!1111

Well, here's the deal with the site guys:

Our previous plans with XIC fell through because of some disputes about how the exploit section would be handled, so we are once again in need of hosting.  Although X-S hosting would be ideal, I'm lost as how to ask for that.

Either way, right now, we are in a dead end.  Any ideas?

Yeah things have gotten pretty screwy.

I wanna help XIC, but at the same time work on this project.

So, bleh, it'll all work out I hope.

As do I, scrupul0us, but I was hoping for some sort of professional hosting.  If I can't get some from X-S, I'll either break down and buy some, or pray that RiceCake can find some for us.
