i think you need to combine A and B because even a modchip won't be able to help if you made a mistake locking the HDD with a wrong password...

yead thought a and b would be a combo cuz it only displays a smily. Anyway only a chip wouldn't solve it.

ok kids....i got an update

i jus found out....i have a backup image of my hd
on my computer....the backup is from HDD_DRIVER
but i cant get HDD_DRIVER to dectect my xbox hd

is there a way that i can take stuff from my backup....
such as the eeprom?

or is there a way i can recover???

can i format my drive and rebuild it???

if your eeprom is in your harddrive image, you can get it with FAT-X-Plorer. Just click on read image and select the bin file of your harddrive.

If, like practically all good tutorials tell you, when you first modded your box you hit "Backup" in evox, then transferred files to your computer, chances are there is a c:\Backup folder with your eeprom in it.

I suggest follow the XboxHDM tutorials and unlock ur box with your xbox then keep the power on the drive but hotswap the IDE cable to ur PC and run XBOXHDM by Famous and talented programmer Ldots

and follow the instructions he provided with the app. You can save ur eeprom to a floppy or boot disc of the XboxHDM and it will unlock the drive. If unlocking doesn't work and you used Configmagic to lock your hdd then maybe u shoulduse ATAPWD "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO A 'T'!" and recover the hdd with a master password "TEAMASSEMBLY" w/o the quotes, make sure you you disable the hdd or it will lock once power is taken off the hdd.

it can't be locked with the correct key from the EEPROM or your xbox would work.. don't worry about getting that bin file, you won't need to lock the hdd once you get a chip anyway
