Well, the idea is ultimately to be able to load project gotham 2 from my drive...... not crimson skies, I just thought of CS as a good example.....

EDIT:  Regardless, thanks for all the hard work .... it's solid either way.

Yes... because I have no issues with PGR2 using either method. Can't say anything about Crimson Skies though.

I had issues once with pgr2 but after deleting my gamesave all was fine. now it runs fine on both pbl and nkpatcher. Crimson skies however has problems with pbl but can be solved by running it from an old version of evox. With nkpatcher it works without problems. Sometimes evox dash igr can interfere with particular games causing them to crash.

well it's more likely an evox solution than an evox problem with crimson skies as other dashboards have problems running the game also after pbl is loaded.

so I need to have a set up like this

c:/ [Skin]
    [Bios]
    [other folders]
    default.xbe
    xboxdash.xbe
    evox.ini

then run the FBL and where does it go from there?

Though I wouldn't place a bet on it, you'll probably figure it out.

By the way, since some people only read the last post - 0.9 is and has been out, but it doesn't have 5530+ support.

I'm sure you can make that a ''not yet'' wink.gif

Thx for all the work Tomilius. This is really the way to go for softmoding

Thanks. biggrin.gif And yes, it is merely a "not yet." Rmenhal sent me his new ASM for calling the BIOS which also changes the code segment size (and it works with 4034, assuming it works with the higher kernels.) It will be in version 1.0 if it's still alright with him with a configuration parameter name of his choice, MethodR if he doesn't care.

A beta of 1.0 should be out shortly.

Wonderful i can't wait until i've got my xbox back (well it's more like until i'm back to my xbox but that's a different story biggrin.gif).

The only thing left I would like to see is loading a third bios (Bios 1 = Xcuter 4981.67 Bios 2 = M8 Bios 3 = Debug BIOS) but I don't know if that's possible. That would beat most (if not all biggrin.gif) modchips.

PBL was just something we had to load but imo it's now something as big and usefull as a Dashboard I'm sure many Modchip owners are using FBL now!

Keep up the great work I can't wait for a version 1.0!

sorry, but i dont think any are, since not many read the exploits forums...

unless i missed a FBL news post on the front page...

anyway, in think that the recent devlopments ( kigh kernal PBL support, pbl modders/devs plan to unite, and pedro's announcment of the search for a higher kernal exploit) will bring a new advent to the exploits

well I tryed and I all I did was fail. I had things set up how you said they should be and run FBL and still all it does is reboot my xbox. I have evoxdash.xbe evox.ini and all other things in the main C: folder still nothing.
