from what i can tell, he has a friend witha chip or tsop.. or somthing, so he can rip them for him, then he can ftp them to his box (ava, with boost mode = fastest)

ok, then....

i dont think FBL whould work for him, though since it NK patcher works only with tray open... mech assault with tray open.... that doesnt add up....

i hope next version there is an option to just have NK, with no BL for just this type of reason (besides, it has some good options not availiable with the sugar-free NK (fanspeeds and LEDs)

yeah well since the nkpatcher is the only option fbl has to offer anyway he is better of with just installing the nkpatcher.

naw my friend doesnt have any of that either just has a network set up that I can ftp my xbox. and I got my xbox to load the fbl and it did something on the top left of my screen. I dont know what it did.

The BIOS loading in FBL is nothing new - it's the same as the BIOS loading in PBL. Same goes for nkpatcher - it hasn't really had any additions or many modifications of its own other than to get it to work as part of FBL. FBL is more compatible than PBL, however, but not when it comes to loading a BIOS. When launching an XBE, nkpatcher6 and FBL should have the same compatibility.

How could you expect a cracked disc to work?

I wouldn't expect a cracked disc to work, or risk my xbox dvd drive by putting it in there.... There is a physical flaw in it now.....
As I sort of mentioned I was able to get a copy of the files that I could not get off my broken disc...but the game does not load off of my xbox with u.d.e (hence pbl141).

....but I recall from one of the first few pages of the nkpatcher thread there was a note from devz3ro saying that crimson skies seemed to work with the nkpatcher (and not with pbl)
...therefore I wondered if that meant that the fbl had been thought of or tested as a solution to games that freeze before loading.

Not really a solution... but if you use HighKrnlSim you can force it to load an XBE rather than a BIOS and that would be equivalent to nkpatcher6...

It would just be nice to find out why certain .xbe's won't load for me and if there are any chances of solutions in *sigh*t....
