You need to use PBL Metoo which is kind of a PBL-Lite for 5530+ kernels. It too is a barebones version. No USB, no fancy animations etc.
Alternatively look into FBL which is highly configurable.

hey guys, i'm correct in assuming that this project is discontinued? I'm using metoo now and it doesn't seem any different so am i gonna stick with that or is there gonna be another lite?

I could easily upgrade PBL-Lite to work on 5530+ kernels but I believe Metoo is just as fast, has no s-video and controller problems either, so I myself consider PBL-Lite obsolete. I anyone disagrees I could make the update when time allows it.

hey total_ass,

which one of these statements do you find correct:

1. pbl metoo is slower that lite
2. pbl metoo is faster than lite
3. there are exactly the same correct to 4 nano seconds
4. pbl metoo is slightly (half second) slower than lite

I dunno, I tried it on a friend's box and it seemed faster.  It's different though so it's hard to tell.

Thx idots!

Your PBL light tutorial enlightend me seriously, i now FINALY understand how to build a HD for my xbox from scratch, and make the original BIOS boot a hacked dash via any signed BIOS loader.

Although a tut. on "how to mod any xbox from scratch using a new HD" would be nice.

I mean, to me, as a PC user, that would seem like the best way. Just replace the OS right?

Anynone that sees a mayor error in this or wants to know more juz IM me or sumthin, more then happy to help (though i'm obviously n00b)
