you'll need to read up on the GPL but, i think you cant use the xdk due to some closed binary stuff or somthing?

we had a discussion about this a while go (look for a thread started by me, i think)

but anything is possible if you get permission from the origonal team, i think it is fine...

I should also mention that I have no permission from anyone to do this. The only permission I have is the right to use/modify open-source materials... if you can call that permission.

most likely, you encountered an error, but since there is no output, you dont see it and it just stops.....

make sure you have everything in the boot.cfg right

How can there be numerous reports if nobody gets to use it? It's too big to post here, remember?

Oh yeah. If anyone wants to try the new ones please PM me. That works, lol.

Anyone requesting the new versions should know that I should send them in about a half an hour... at the most. I'm making some quick additions/changes.

One of them being that, since there is no longer any selection menu and no JPEG support, I've changed the 'timeout' value to work as a delay so that you can view everything up to 'Calling 2bl'. It pauses for the number of ms specified in timeout before actually calling it. (timeout can stay 0.)

As for JPEG, I'm trying to remove the libraries for that to make these smaller...

biggrin.gif  now i can boot with 2 controllers and a dvd dongle in. awesome work.

hmm wait i just read in the readme this
QUOTE
Also unlike the previous
version, it does not stop USB from being accessed,
but it makes sure that access attempts are completed
in a timely manner. Having more than 2 USB devices
will likely result in failure to use any of them
with PBL. However, as of now, there aren't any
working features that require USB input.

does that mean that the devices wont work in a game hmm i will go test it now.

biggrin.gif  i havent experienced any crashes. the svideo one shows some text at first but then has a scrambled screen but it loads the bios and (dashboard) xbe fine. sorry about that i didnt explain it well before. the no svideo one just displays text and then loads the bios and boots the (dashboard) xbe. no scrambled screen with no svideo just text. i can soft reboot my box (using unleashx's feature to restart) and it reloads pbl fine with both packages. everything is running smoothly here. let me know if u need any more info or more testing.  smile.gif

Thanks jon. Actually, the no svideo version doesn't show just text I thought. It goes to a black screen, doesn't it, after the text, whereas the svideo version goes to a corrupted-like screen?

yes that is correct. sorry again.  sad.gif   laugh.gif there is a black screen after the text on the no svideo and corruption after the text on the svideo.
