I used the old fashoned MA save to enable FTP to my xbox, from there i transfered this stuff over, the install was smooth as hell. I answered your questions, and now im workin on a modded xbox. StepmaniaX is beautiful.

stellar package so far! i have a question and i think my brain is fried from so much reading so im finally gonna ask. =)

so i installed the package... now when i boot the box the mxm screen loads then loads to my ltools 1.8 screen. i want to telnet into my box at this point, but i don't know how to configure my net settings in MXM? am i even in mxm or am i in ltools? am i missing something here? i feel like i missed a critical step somewhere. thanx! cheers!

I need some help guys. I tried installing UDE2 on my 1.6. I telnet to the xbox and but I wasn't able to install the softmod. Here's a cut and paste...any suggestions???

the new generation installers are doing as good a job as ltools did...blackwar's is hopefully coming out soon....waffletools is strong and so is krayzie's....it's not an issue of updating Ltools....it's an issue of getting the newer packages on xbins so that people can get their hands on those more easily.

either that or a renaissance movement back to manual modding...i'd be up for that!

I have updated the ltools to nkpatcher10 with or without metoo 1.4.1 with f: support. Now I just hung up a bit on the uxe coding... I am also looking at other options. IDOTS where might you be! hehehe

You are correct when saying that the new installers are strong. THE BLACKWAR INSTALLER will turn some heads!!! GOOD STUFF! I have been messing with a diagnostics tool via mxm for it. And somehow I just got to this update. I believe that I have been chasing rabbits again. However, your rith cmiz I will leave the ltools project alone and go back to the diagnostic tool.

the meat of the Ltools installer is written in linux...hence in order to really change it you need to open that up and mess around with that...not mxm. i'd just leave Ltools alone though and encourage the newbies to use the new installers.

I have been trying to talk my friend through installing 1.8 on his version 1.0 box as a test to b4 he installs it on a v1.6 box. He is able to get 1.6 to work on his box flawlessly after I talked him through it. His brother has a 1.6 box and would like to use the package but they can not get it to work on a box that they know is exploitable. He sais everything went fine from backup , install UXE, dual boot, pbl x2-4981, mxm, finished, safe to shut down, then reboots and he just gets the ms dashbord.

Is there something I'm missing with the new package?
I just grabbed the package and let him download it from my ftp server as is.
I didn't put an update.xbe in it as I thought it was not necessary now. What is different in the process than the older packages?
What is EEE, I don't think he selected to use it but still I'm not familiar with it?
Please help.

My friend have a xbox 1.6 that have a bios damage because he has a problem when he was flashing your bios !
you know any softmod or how he can resolv this problem?
