Could you re-add the current version bit you had in the last thread about this?

Done!

So current version is 1.4

Expect a 1.5 soon though. I hope the font for the 2nd update.xbe version get stable since I already prepared the package for this. That means one would just need a 4920 update.xbe and can choose to either add this to the package or just do a dash downgrade before installing the package. If the update.xbe is not added to the package the installer will test if C:\xodash\update.xbe will work.

As mentioned previously the user also has a choice between PBL or nkpatcher and between Evox and MXM as default dash.

Finally I added a "Configure PBL" menu to let users choose a small timeout (1 sec.) or a zero timeout.

The package uses the latest fonts from Rmenhal that checks for an unset clock and the Dual-boot xbe for checking the tray-state.

Upgraded from the audio exploit which was great but this is SOOOOOOOO much nicer. Upgraded from the audio exploit with no trouble at all. This exploit was stupid proof to install and is really amazing. Finally there is a simple to install package wich does away with clock loop and button presses that the other exploits needed.

No - someone can not! Requesting files on these forum pages will get you banned.

If xbins doesn't work for you - too bad. You shouldn't have tried to get all the files.

@DonaldMCRonald87 & OliG

I'm sure UnleashX is a great dash, but I had to stop at some point or the package would explode. I could make a "fat-package", but I have enough packages to maintain already.

MXM is needed in this installer since I make use of the amazing scripting engine it offers. I wanted to get rid of Evox, but some people wanted to keep it.

But changing from Evox to any other dash is very easy. The bios that PBL loads boot E:\Dashboard\default.xbe as the default dashboard. So just ftp in. Clean the Dashboard folder and upload your desired dashboard. Remember to rename the executable to default.xbe. No signing needed. If you should mess up. Just boot with eject button to reach the ltools menu. Ftp in and fix the problem.

The game reboots because the hacked bios is set to look for D:\default.xbe and execute it on IGR/reset. Simply fix is hit the eject button right after you do the IGR.

A slightly more advanced approach is editing you bios (E:\pbl\Bioses\xboxrom.bin) to not look for D:\default.xbe. Xbtool can do this, though maybe not on all bioses. I remember doing it on the M7 bios though. If not, you can hexedit the bios to change default.xbe to something else.

Just seen you reply Idots : )  thanx but I was just confused as to why very few people use it. Your package is perfect as it is BTW (although the check for update.xbe in the xodash is a very good idea).
Not too sure where you find the time to keep this all going but credit where credits due.

Nice to hear someone else likes the UnleashX Dash.

Anyway if you are wanting to use the UnleashX Dash (or any dash), you'll need to replace the contents of E:\Dashboard with the UnleashX files (make sure that the XBE is named Default.xbe).
You will also have to edit the file config.xml in the same dir to point to the renamed msdash.xbe. Best if you edit this with notepad on the PC before you FTP it over.
rename any entires in the config.xml file with the text xboxdash.xbe to msdash.xbe
eg.
<MSDashBoard>C:\xboxdash.xbe</MSDashBoard>
to
<MSDashBoard>C:\msdash.xbe</MSDashBoard>

There are about three entries in the file to change.

Hope that helps

Thanx IDOTS, finaly a Memcard UDE Installer i could get to work on my xbox.

One question, is there any way i could edit this package to install another dashboard instad of evox, rather than ftp after the exploit is installed?

eg. how could i remove the evox files from this package and replace them with another dash that would be installed in e:/dashboard/ ?

EDIT-- spelling

Hi UglyMonkey  : )

I put other Dash's on by saving the folder/Dir to DVD and then use boXplorer or XBMC to copy the new dashboard files across. (if you have XBMC or boXplorer on your machine that is)

I think Morden's GameSave had boXplorer with it so that would be one way to get the program on the machine if you have no way of ftp'ing.

*********Sorry just read your message again, didn't read it properly first time.
Well I supose you could try replacing the contents of Evox.tgz with the dash you like there instead. But I don't know how the script copies these files so one for Idots to answer. tongue.gif**************************************************
