can someone help me i mess up my xbox badly, i use the xbpartioner program and partion the FXYZ partion, and now when i boot up it say service called required, unless i plug in the MA game and load ltools, how do i get my xbox back to normal. Now every single time i run any program it reset back to the bios ltool menu also when i try to launch game from the ltools dash. please help me.

ok i got my ltool load back up now and everything ok, but for some reason now i can;t i try to run game from my hd i just reboot back to dashboard and also game that i backup on to a dvd-r. How do i fix this?

when i try to uninstall the ude, it say orginal xboxdash.xbe not found, what can i do now to uninstall it.

So let me get this right:

I have xbox v1.6 , I can use the 007 softmod using memcard trick to get in, I have ftp'd over some dashes already, I tried evox, but its a few months old, and something called Bert and Ernie (a buddy actually did this).

It will not boot correctly, I get that englishand japaese error screen with the flashing red light, but I can put 007 back in and it works, is there a specific version of Evox, or any dash for that matter, or do I need to look at something called UXE?
I have restored my original setup so box is back to normal.

I am half way there please help!!!

There is no nfo file nor detailed instructions. Where can I find a nfo or where do I put the directory "UDATA" at?

rartemass the problem is i cant get passed the xbox logo screen it freezes there doesnt boot any further than that so theres noway for me to redo the hack.it doesnt boot games either

Always a way. Err hotswap in, fix your mistake. get your eeprom, make a restore cd.

Just use the Ltools for ftp access. Get uxe complete .02.1 (or latest) and use that. It's by far an easy process, and gives you more control.

Be sure and run backup from your savegame and get your eeprom 1st, tho.

Ok hey guys Im new here. Ive read everything so far. And can you tell me if im following the propper steps? K my Kernal version is 5101 and my dash is 5960. My xbox is an unknown version made between the making of 1.1's and 1.2 boxes. I have the rar of ldots_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC. I have the action replay. And a copy of splinter cell in hand. Now do I transfer the rar onto the mem card? and just load game in SC. And if file corruption does occur. I can always uninstall the mod. And retry a transfer Of the ldots package back onto my mem card and try again rite? Im kind of scared of getting a paperweight here guys lol.

I got the file from you know where, but How to I determine which file to use? I see that there are ones for all versions. Can I just use one, or do the diffrent file types matter? Mabey you can explain How I can tell what version I have

could be the dvd media you are using.. xbox drives are picky....

as for the retail dvds... you cant read them unless you use :

- a dvd dongle (with remote)
- a dvd dongle SOFTWARE (geuX or others)
- XBMC (Xbox Media Center (no menus tho))

Although I usually don't care much for paying extras to get dvd playback I bought a 3rd party remote at 10$ and I find it makes my XBMC experiences FAR superior.. and would therefore encourrage you to buy a dvd playback dongle
