Then some of the files are corrupted or missing. With the modchip on MXM should launch.
Try getting a freash copy of ltools version 1.5.1 and unzip it.
Delete your E:\UDATA\4d530017
folder completely and ftp the fresh copy in. Then try re-launching default.xbe from boxplorer with the modchip on.

When I launch with the disc it starts than goes to code 21.  I never used MA before or 007 or Plintercell.  I do have live 2 but I've only played Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Project Gotham.  Anyway can someone explain how to get the MA update patch of my box just incase someone else played it.

What Dash and Kernel versions do you have?

Have you got 007AUF you could try instead of MA, just incase it is the game? I've heard of people with problems with patched MA games newer than september 2003.

that would be
kernel:4034
dash:5659
Your kernel seems fine.

To see if you have the right MA look around the inner ring on the data side of the disc.
The new one says MS02308L, the one you want says MS02301L.

@ldots, I asked once before, you may have missed it(maybe not).
Version 1.4 is working great and I have included my own chosen pbl and bios in the package EDIT: and dashboard (how could I forget UnleashX)END EDIT. I will not be using your dashboard or nkpatcher. Are there any other advantages to upgrading to 1.5 ?

 Thanks

Anway, how does one use the SC version?  The MA and 007 are .zips.  The SC is a .rar with a "part1.zip" and "part2.zip" within it.

I have never personally used SC...But I was just helping six dreams of black with this. I believe you should extract Part 2 and zip the Udata folder that's in the "part 2" folder.
For part one, either use it as is and ftp the update.xbe or zip the update.xbe and put it in the "files" folder within part one.
Load both Udata.zip's to your HDD and run linux.

Good luck

I was wondering, may you switch out the pbl 1.4.1 for 1.3.5 so people like me can have updated packages in either format... Depending on what chord they are using.  It would be totally awesomedelic of you...lol "awesomedelic".  But, yeah.  I believe if you make another release package for the 1.3.5i version of PBL your package would be 100% flawless in my opinion.

I will definetely not make another set of package with 1.3.5i. Maintaining 4 versions of the package is enough work.
I dont think downgrading PBL to 1.3.5i will happen either. 1.3.5i does not support the Focus video chip so I have a feeling more people would complain about scrambled images than the lack of S-video support.
If in the future you wanted to update the package but not replace your PBL you could use the package by running the mini-linux from the MXM menu. Telnet into your xbox and run 'UDE -install'. The installer lets you decide if you want to upgrade an existing PBL or keep the current one.

@spongy
Yeah, forgot about you guestion there. The major advantages of 1.5.1 is that it support both versions of the update.xbe file (it has two sets of hacked fonts). So that if the user has dashboard 4920, there is no need to include the update.xbe. Also the ltools menu has an option to set the timeout of PBL to either 1 sec. or 0 secs. from the menu (takes effect on next (re)boot). Finally BoxPlorer is included and can be reached from the ltools menu.

@xbaja
The part1.zip and part2.zip files should be AR software ready. Just drag them to the left panel of the AR window. Reason you have two zip files is that the SC game save hack is organized as two saves. One has the actual hack, the other the (linux)-installer files.
Edit : Ups! Just looked at the file. My bad - I had the directory structure wrong. Will fix this.
Edit 2: Fixed!

i just thought i would add this bit of info incase anyone else has this problem like i did.
i new i had the correct update.xbe but it would not work as the package kept telling me that it could not find the file in the folder e:/udata......... but when i checked the update.xbe was wrote Update.xbe with a capital U and that was the problem.
also somewhere in this thread it says to rename the install.xbe in your e:/udata...... folder to default.xbe  , anyway i renamed it to default.xbe and i got an error 21 when i switched it on by pressing the open button. so i renamed it install.xbe and now when i press open button it loads the ude menu

Was just wondering about downgrading. I installed the MA softmod and xebian following xbox-linux.org. In order to install UDE, can I simply do "restore dashboard", then ftp in the UDE save game installer, and boot that? Then, can I link in my copy of xebian from evoX?
Also, will I need to delete my old "install Linux" etc saved games?

I would think that procedure will work. You would just have to know where you xebian installation has it's bootloader and link to that from evox.
You you intend to use MA for the UDE install then you most likely have to delete you old "Install linux" Mech saves.

@ jammasterjay
You shouldn't have to rename anything. If you do there is not guarantee the ltools menu and the installation as such will work.

@ Booker T
You should have a kernel version below 5713 to use this package. This will you install PBL or nkpatcher that both disables signature checks, so you shouldn't have to sign anything you add after this package is installed.
HDD upgrades do not depend on which softmod you have. Use xboxhdm for upgrading the HDD. If you ftp the E:\backup_linux  folder to your PC after installing this package you have everything you need for building a new HDD with xboxhdm.
