Put that st.db in the usual place on the e-drive.

Now, once I know how to make this code into an st.db file can you please tell me what I'll need to do to "invoke" the exploit? Do I have to retype the name of that soundtrack everytime?

Thanks for all the help so far Pedro, I'll really appreciate it if I can ask for it once more.

You've got all the right bits smile.gif.

Since your a primarily a Live user, and a less homebrew user this shouldn't cause you too much grief (and you'd be amazed how fast you can do it after a little practice biggrin.gif ).

Hint:
First enter both sets of angle brackets "<<>>".
then use the triggers to move the cursor to the middle
enter "Eggsox"
then use the triggers to move the cursor to the middle
enter the "B" character. smile.gif

Save the text to 1.b64 (or 1.UUE if that don't work), then open in ICEOWS or WinZip 8+.
Save the contents as 1.bz2
Open 1.bz2 in ICEOWS or WinZip 8+.
There you'll see the ST.DB file you need.

Hey folks, I've got some things to report.

I used the SplinterCell GameSave to put the EEE on my box, took me bloody ages to work out that you have to type a capital E in the Eggsox thing, but I finally invoked the exploit.

I decided to put XBMC as my dash, so I renamed it's .xbe to evoxdash.xbe and stuck it on the C-Drive, along with the file xboxmediacenter.xml which needs to be there to point it to where teh rest of the files are and also give XBMC all it's settings.

Here's the problem - it loads, but the screen is garbled. I'm sure it's XBMC that's running, but teh screen is all messed up and I cannot read what's on it. One thing - I did convert my PAL box to NTSC using Enigmah's, so that I could enjoy the higher resolutions on my plasma.

Please help, this is the last step then I'm sorted!

You have to get your self a bios that supports the focus chip.

Ooops.  Sorry about that.  sad.gif

When you get it all done, please do write up and post a quick tutorial.  I think you'll have created a configuration that may appeal to others.

Hey Pedro, no apology needed, I'm chuffed now that I got it working.

I've found another bios whcih should be fine, it's the X2 bios 4979, and it appears to boot up MxM just fine from PBL. So I thought, right, I'll get out the old XBTool and see if I can get it to boot straight into evoxdash.xbe (which is actually XBMC renamed) instead of going to MxM. But much to my dismay, XBTool told me that it was already pointing to load evoxdash.xbe. How confusing.

I'll let you know when I get this all working and I'll make a tutorial for sure, I'm pretty close now to having a working exploit that works on the latest dash and on live.

And it looks like I may soon have a job at Game.

OK, I'm back, with one more thing to report.

I tried a new BIOS, XBMC still came up garbled. I would really like some advice on which BIOS to use for this purpose, and if anybody could modify it to boot straight into E:/Apps/XBMC for me that'd be sweet. I think I may be doing something wrong.

I'm going to try disabling 1080i to see if that's the problem.

I'll report back soon.

I've done it!

All finished now, I've got the Easter Egg Exploit working to boot straight into XBMC! I've also converted my PAL XBox to an NTSC one so that I can output in 1080i to my plasma and it's all working well.

The problem with the garbled picture was that my plasma doesn't support 720. Stupid thing.

So, what I could really do with now would be a way to get this certain file to play. It's a video of the latest Beastie Boys single, and it's got a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels, so it should look awesome in 1080i mode. Thing is, it's such a high quality file it skips on my PC, let alone my XBOx. Anyone got any ideas how I can play such a huge file?

Cheers again, I'll be doing a tutorial very shortly on everything I've done.
