You can't downgrade your kernel... to downgrade your dashboard:

Get a hold of an EvoX gamesave exploit. Then, download Slayer's EvoX and extract the iso. Load up the gamesave exploit and FTP into your Xbox. Backup your C: partition to your PC and your eeprom/hdd information. Then, delete the C: partition on your Xbox and replace it with the one on Slayer's (System/All/C). Double check that ALL the files are there and that they are on root C: before resetting. smile.gif

In order to use this tutorial, you need to have kernel 5530 or lower. If you have kernel 5713 and 5838, you can't use it because it won't work.

Where is the kernel stored?  And is there any options for this xbox... Note: I already have a hacked Xbox if that can help me.

No, it's a newer 1.4. M$ went 1.4, 1.5, back to 1.4, and then to 1.6. You can't downgrade... The kernel is the onboard bios (The TSOP). Your only options are using the gamesave exploit and signing everything with -habibi, chipping it, or TSOP flashing it.

Kind of an oldy, sorry for the kick. smile.gif

Am i correct to asume that TSOP flashing equals a kernel downgrade? Or wil your kernel version be the same even after a succesful TSOP flash?

TSOP flashing is replacing your kernel/bios on the chip that holds the bios on the motherboard - it requires a bit of soldering to write-enable this chip.
You could downgrade you kernel this way (if the older kernel supports your hardware), but if the purpose is softmodding that would be a bit stupid (except for exploit development, and maybe Live issues). You could might as well flash an X2 or Evox bios on the chip.

Tnx,

i am not yet thinking of a TSOP Flash, but it is good to know that this is 'A' possibility for downgrading the kernel.

Is there a way to know wheter or not your hardweare is supported by a certain bios version b4 u flash?

i.e. a list of Box versions and supported kernel/bios version?

You mean Slayers?
Yes, that's an xiso. You can extract it on your PC though. Get an xbox iso tool like qwix.
