I have a newer xbox that i successfully modded the other night, i installed UDE2 and  i installed evox for my loader and dashboard. Everything works except I dont have the option to rip games to my harddrive. Anyone else have this problem, is there a fix?

This might help some using xboxhdm:

On some bios, you need to turn off USB Emulation. I have a Dell and had to turn off USB Emulation in order to get the keyboard working after I booted into the iso.

Another possible helpful thing is to turn off fastboot in the bios too.

Hey, what's up.
So I originally modded my Xbox w/ the softmod package (UDE2) for xboxhdm (great tools Idots, easy to use, Thnx a lot!). The modding itself went easy. I used my box for about a month, upgraded my HDD, again using xboxhdm (seriously, best tool out there).
Unfortunetly, I was unhappy with Evox, and tried to install XBMC as my default dashboard... I used the <home> method (xml in c drive directing the xboxdash to Xbmc's home directory), renamed XBMC's default.xbe xboxdash.xbe, then tried to reboot my box.
    Instant error 13.
So I restored my C driive with Xboxhdm, locked it back up, and found myself with the M$ dash, with no access to my other dashes, nor access to BoXplorer, or anything to run the progs I have on my upgraded drive.
So cool, np, run the UDE package again, exploit it, and go back to evox... No luck. throwing in MechAssuallt, I can run Itools, but installation of the UDE package tells me that I'm missing needed files in the gamesave directory. (in particular, ude1_patches.tgz)
So I'm going to completely delete the gamesave directory, try re-installing from the CD, and see if it works.
Btw, I've also tried replacing the xboxdash.xbe with previous snapshots of my c drive (that's how I returned to my M$ dash), though I have gotten error 13 for any but the M$ xbe.
While I'm not completely out of ideas, I would appreciate some info on what the best method would be, how to sign files, and exactly how the M8 evox bios loads, so that when I exploit my box again....), I can successfully run XBMC as my default dash....

   Thanx in advance.... hopefully....

i have a prob, the computer doesnt reconise the xbox hd, this has happened about 25 times now i have tried the follwing

- take the xbox DVD drive IDE cable out, boot xbox, boot computer with no harddrive and cd in drive, get 2 main booting screen, attach the computers IDE cable 2 the xbox harddrive, press enter, wait for boot, type in xbrowser or UDE and it keeps not detecting the HDD

-keep everything plugged in and boot xbox, computer with no harddrive and cd in drive, get 2 main booting screen, attach the computers IDE cable 2 the xbox harddrive real fast, press enter, wait for boot, type in xbrowser or UDE and it keeps not detecting the HDD

- used option 3 and type unlockhd -a, so i found out i cant unlock either it just doesnt detect the xbox, and yes i do have the eeprom.bin in its folder

 - i have changed the position of the jumper so the xbox HD loads up as primary master( if i didnt do this it would become primary slave) also i checked that the computer even cpuld see the xbox hd by goin into the BIOS settings and the xbox harddrive was on the IDE cable primary master.

so i dont no wat i can do to detect this xbox any ideas
