Sorry. The problem was fixed by updating the dash via a Live game.

Thanks to ldots for creating a very nice package. Thanks!!!

UDE1/UDE2 Package For Xboxhdm
« Reply #77 on: September 01, 2004, 06:27:00 AM »

i've managed to get the two packages (xboxhdm v1.9 & ude v1.4) i burned
the iso & now i've this structure:
C, D, E, EEPROM & F folders are empty.
ISOLINUX folder i didn't touch anything.
XBOX folder there's only two files i leave it as it is i didn't touch anything.
UDE folder i extract it here & i don't modify anything.
ABOUT_THIS_CD.TXT
CHECK
README.TXT

i've a xbox v1.6 with K:5838 & D:5659 (NTSC). Idon't need xbox live nor upgrade my HD so i don't need any file to add for that.
Is that structure above is correct or should i add something else because i read about update.xbe file. Should i add it or just burn the iso
with that structure above? If i should add it where will i find it in the usual place?

Are you sure? Because they wrote in the tutorial to put it in Linux? Did you try it? I'm not doubting your words but i want only a confirmation.

Up until now, I have always had a TSOP to flash but,  I am comfortable with installing UDE2 on my 1.6 box.  I have the package on my memcard and will be installing UDE2 on the box with the default drive soonest.

But I am somewhat confused as to the sequence of events for using xboxhdm to replace the default drive with a 120 gigger.

Can someone clarify what needs to be done with xboxhdm after UDE2 is installed.  I have never had much luck with HotSwapping and want to avoid that if I can.

If I am reading the tuts correctly, here is what I do.

Install UDE2 onto retail drive.

Reboot with XBOXHDM.

Then....????

Thanx

Here we have another crappy softmod. Any softmod package that requires installing the XBox HDD inside a PC is garbage!

Idiots:

Question:
Why does you're .xbe scanner don't scan on HDD drive F: and G:??

I started it for looking for exploitable .xbe's, it scans all standard xbox partitions; except F: and G:???

Because i and some of my friends made much game backups to partition F: or G:, so maybe there is an exploitable file too? possibley the wanted UDE3 PAL .xbe hack

How would I go about changing the package so I can use 007 instead of Mech Assault?
Can I take some files from the 007 memcard UDE package and substitute them into this package?  If this the way to do it, exactly how would it need to be done?  Thanks in advance.

Once you have the hack running you should be able to ftp into the xbox. Then you can just upload the appropriate ltools package instead. They contain the same software.

That just goes to show how big a moron you are!!!
This is meant to be a supplement to the memcard package which contain the same software. Some people dont have memcards or any of the exploitable games. This package is useful in that situation.
