see the fatx fix file seems to have fucked up the drive in someway. it seems that since i didnt restore the other partition nothing ecognize it as a xbox partition. i tried to use the xboxhdm 1.4v but i forgot to use the files to rebuild the hd now it recognized it the first time but it stopped. after putting the xbox disk back in the xbox it shows up with a error 13 this means that the dashboard isn't installed or is corrupted. but now i know that the problem isn't serious like i thouggh it was i thought it was locked for good or something. now ijm trying to get hdd driver to recognize it so i can restore my partition. which seems hard because everytime i get windows to recognize it. it still doesn't get recognized in hdd driver somebody help me please

So you can still manage to get a hotswap working so that xboxhdm recognizes the drive on the first boot?
If that's the case, then just get the system-files (C-drive) from a backup or from Slayers. Burn xboxhdm with these files in the C-folder and rebuild the drive. This is a two-step procedure so you will have to hotswap again between steps 1 and 2. See the tutorial for more info. Your drive should be fixable this way though  smile.gif

ok i did the xp thing that dude said. It got me in hdd driver now my hd is restored back to the way it was but now for some reason i can't get the linux driver to recognizze it the xboxhdm1.4 doesn't recognize my disk.

Sounds like it is not unlocked? Did you hotswap before booting xboxhdm? Does it work in your xbox after restoring in HDDriver?

i tried every method of hotswapping available i don't know why it won't work inside linux.

Did you try the tut. in the second post of the last link in my sig.
I'm 99% sure the error you experience in linux is because the drive is not unlocked, i.e the hotswapping didn't work.

You dont have a fonts folder?
Either you manually deleted this folder yourself or your dash version is old. Later dashes have this folder, like the 4920 dash, which you need to run the audio and Mech font hacks. Be sure you have this dash or the mods will not work.

To tricker the audio hack to to the music section of the MS dash. Select the 'no-name' soundtrack and choose copy two times to copy the soundtrack. The choose 'New soundtrack' and done to launch the hack. Once you get to Evox you can enable the font hack in the Settings Menu.

But be sure you have 4920 dash and that your kernel is below 5530. Check both in the settings menu of the MS dash.

Sorry dude! I have a feeling that you be an expensive phone-call biggrin.gif

In your case I would get Slayers Evox Autoinstaller (google it!). Then extract this xiso and get the c-drive files located in SYSTEM/ALL/c
Copy all the files in this folder to the xboxhdm/linux/C folder. Remake and burn the xboxhdm iso. Hotswap and run the xboxhd tool and choose the "Rebuild C-drive" option. Then rerun the softpack and you should be set!

If you mean the rebuilding of C in xhoxhdm, then no. This procedure does not require a reboot which was what cause the relocking in your first attempt. The rebooting was needed since the fatx partition table was written in the first step and would not be used until next boot.
The "rebuild c-drive" option does not rewrite the partition table but just formats C, and rebuilds the system-files from the C -folder on the CD.

I need help! Can XboX HD Maker V1.4 help me? how?

I'm having a strange issue with my hddriver. First of all I tried to do the hotswap with windows booted. Device Manager recognized the Xbox drive and also the hdd driver program found it but when I open hddriver a message came up "Invalid Filename Size!". This error window only have an OK button that it doesn't matter how many time you press it, it will appear again. I can access (ignoring it) the Tools tab to backup hdd or restore it BUT no access to the xbox drive, no system folder or anything. For the record I tried to back up the hd and it finished fine but hddriver, fatxplorer and HD fatXbox Explorer can't recognize my image file so i could restore an exploited version of the image. Anyone help please.

Most likely yes! But you dont say want exactly you want to do? Just to access the HDD using xboxhdm, you boot the xboxhdm CD to the bootprompt. Hotswap as usual. Then hit enter to boot xboxhdm.
Once bootet you can type xbrowser to see/manipulate your C, E, and F partitions.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.  This Xbox HD Maker is an .iso  file that have the ability to boot itself in my computer before windows boot up so I can access the xbox in a DOS like mode using some commands? Another thing...Under which category I should look in usual places for this program.  And to answer your question, first I need a way to access my files (since the HDD Driver can't access it) in the Xbox HD so I can actually do something. Once I can access it I would like to try one of those automated installations of exploits. I'm between the double dash or the UDE but apparently the easter-egg exploit is better than both but I can't find any package for it.
