G Partition Formatting
« on: May 17, 2004, 08:25:00 PM »

my friend just installed a 200gb hd in his softmodded box. after formatting the F 60gb's or so are missing. and i can't for the damnest figure out how to format the G. i tried formatting the G through evox, but no luck. i then tried formatting through raw commands in FTP. i wasn't sure what partition number the G was, but knowing the F was 6 i just put the G as 7. that didn't work. any ideas?

You need a bios that supports LBA48 (most recent bioses does) and to enable this in the bios using xbtool. No personal experiences though...
