hi. i have a soft modded xbox which worked fine until i deleted my dash by mistake. no my xbox wont connect to the internet or anything. how can i replace the dash??? pls help

Hey everyone, i managed to install EvoX but when i couldnt FTP into my xbox STILL , i decided to uninstall the softmod and now all my files have gone Including all the original xbox files... HELLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!! anyone any ideas please email me asap [email protected]

Hello-

Thank you for taking the time to produce this tutorial and post responses. I am brand new to modding and xboxes. I have computer experience but nothing overly technical. I got an xbox from a friend and basically just want to be able to plug it into my router and play video and music from my PC. I have read through every post here as well as several other tutorials online that I found by googling and searching the forums. I notice that this original tutorial is very out of date and want to make sure I use the latest information. I was wondering if there is an updated tutorial anywhere. Conversely I was wondering if this tutorial:

is reputable. It seems extremely easy.

FYI; I do have AR & Splinter Cell and my box is a live box. I have no idea what version my box is but it's a few years old. I'm in the US and my system info is:

K 1.00.4034.01
D 1.00.5960.01

I have read the xbins tutorial and downloaded the software needed to use that. If I am reading correctly at this point I should need the Splinter Cell exploit from xbins and Evox? The other tutorial makes it sound like Evox will be included with the exploit files from xbins. Also, do I need to get xbmc to be able to stream the files from my computer or does Evox do that as well?

If that other tutorial I linked to is okay then I can easily follow those instructions, but if it is not then I wanted to know if someone can give me the link to the best (and easiest) tutorial.

I appreciate your time and realize these questions are all answered a million times in different places. I'm trying to be overly cautious so I don't ruin the console.

Hey i have EVERYTHING INSTALLED nessesary for accessing my unmodded xbox's files. but FTP cant connect, do i need to set some sort of static ip address on my xbox or how the fricken heck do i do this, please help!
I know my normal xbox ip address but how do you go about setting up a static ip address and will this let me use FTP for my unmodded xbox?

Anyone whose life is so sad and pathetic that they would spend so much time, and in many cases money, just so they can cheat in a game that most people play fairly needs to get a life! Seriously, seek professional help, if you do this you are a big time loser and must have some serious psychological issues.

Eh? I modded my XBOX to use XB<C. You should try it sometime. Its a media center that plays everything.

I dont think I have played a xbox game in 6 months. And I have never cheated in one.... Maybe you should not be so closed minded.

I think 90% of people MOD just to use XBMC. Its won awards on SourceForge now so its a great syste.

hey you guys thanx i think this tut is great i jus need to know exactly where to find the software i need to upload it i got ar and datel and i was wondering which gamesave would work for mechassualt. rite now all i got is AR and the Datel interface for it mechassualt and a unmodded Xbox please help
