Should I Upgrade The Dash?

I successfully modded an XBOX that was manufactured on sept 2001, which means it was one of the original batch.  However, I left it unplugged just to test and make sure that the clock loop wasn't deadly...(I'm using bert and ernie reloaded)...however it's been looping for about an hour.  Strangely the dashes that I downgrade to Slayers Dashboards dont have a problem with the loop at all!

So, I'm wondering if upgrading this dash to the version that slayer has would be advantageous?  Does that dash version work much better with B&E reloaded? My xbox never goes into the loop for more than 5 minutes and I'm wondering if it's because of Slayers dash.
