Atleast that's the case with dashupdate.xbes I've got. That pretty much kills it. Allowed media can be checked using: xbedump dashupdate.xbe -dc. If there's no XBE_MEDIA_HDD in the output, then it won't do. |
U missed the point...
Newer kernels are locked by the timestamp, but dashupdate.xbe is found on alot of newer games and is able to run on these new kernels.
The newer dashboards will generate error 21 if the fonts in C:\fonts are incorrect, but I don't believe they check the root fonts.
Sure, reset on eject will still need to be addressed, but this may work as a hybrid exploit for "unexploitable" boxes. (part game-save style, part font exploit)
