I have my matrix in mode 3 so I can use the eject trick to play live.  When I first got live (about 2 months ago) the box would load the executer bios only even tho it was in mode 3.  I just left it and like an hour later it worked as it should.
Then yesterday the same thing happened.  I put in the game, it loads executer bios and goes into the game.  Hit eject, and it goes to the dashboard!  I dont understand the problem.  I tried this a few dosen times and it refused to go to the ms dash!  I never move my xbox btw....
Then I started getting error 21 when I tried the eject trick (like 3 times).
Eventually the box went back to normal and the eject trick worked again, for the rest of the day and today so far.

what can be causing it to stay in the executer bios?

Well I am sorry to tell you but the new bioses are makeing it harder to do the eject trick.  If you have the x2 2983 bios I would suggest tring the no eject  fix file with the x2 config.  This will create a file and it will make the xbox reboot to the flipper everytime you hit the eject button.  The evox bioses I think have some funkie jiv going on and with thoes bioese when I hit eject it jumped the the evox dash like all the time no flipper at all.
