No way to get the hard drive swap method to work with Splinter Cell...?

Probably obvious from your guide saying "You need Mech Assault"... but just thought I'd ask. :\

Sure I could update the fonts to the UDE ones, but theres no need really, Ive modded it ever so slightly for a few close friends that were still using the Audio Hack  blink.gif  it boots tHc lite now as the main dash and uses UDE smile.gif

Which they love as they are noobs so its not too different, I would happily release it but distributing tHc code is about as legal as selling CDR versions windows XP on a market stall  jester.gif

Also, if I ever get my next release out to the scene (the cd/iso installer thing) then people can just use that and have an uber-fat versoion of my package..

second i have an xbox that got messed up while an udpate of the softmod that my brother did messed up and now it doesn't work any ideas on this one would be helpfull.

You need UDE smile.gif

It runs no matter what dash you have and works on almost all xboxes simply smile.gif

mkjones, your package is the #$^@ (in a good way of course, i'm sure you don't ever get sick of praises)

i've had it work many times, but i've come across a strange outcome on one of my friend's box. his kernel version seems to be ok, as it's a 4xxx(i forgot the exact #, but the box is at my buddy's house), and the mkjones package is on there, and everything seems to be running smooth. except....

except, for certain games to go through the "loading" screen in evox, goes straight back to evox, like it can't run it as if it's a dirty/damaged disc or something. odd thing is, same disc works fine on another box with same mkjones package. i've narrowed it down to the fact that only NTSC games work on this special box. of course, ppl may say that i need to use Enigmah's video mode switcher, but the fact that the same PAL games work fine on at least 4-5 diff boxes that have your package on, i'm questiong the video mode to be the culprit. could it really have something to do with the kernel... or.. i dunno? i'm fresh out of ideas..

i read over the 21 pages in this thread to see if anyone else encountered this.. but the closest i've noticed is someone who asked if PAL games would work on a NTSC box, that went unnoticed...

if anyone has any suggestions, it'd be great... in the meantime, i bet everyone wants to know the exact kernel version.. the dash, we've upgraded to 4920, as it was a lower version.. but like i said, the exploit worked like a charm (as usual), but only plays NTSC discs..

Could be the older BIOS it uses, may not be compatible with some of the new backups, I have heard people have issues with certain games.

Sadly the BIOS is not easy to update in my package as it uses BIOS switching for the dash-selection menu.

Also, what drive does your mate have?? Thomson? Philips? I have some friends that get dirty disk errors all the time with these drives and cheap DVD media..

naa its NOT a dashboard issue.

If I were you, get the metoo m8 pack and mod THAT bios to point to the dash on MY package you want to use, its not that hard tongue.gif if you need help PM me wink.gif

I got it to work but at the pheonix bio loader it takes over 10-20 mins for it to load and shows starting usb port.. PLEASE HELP! Otherwise it rocks!

Reboot your xbox.

At this point the Audio hack is active, but the font hack is not. So,
on reboot go to the MUSIC option on your xbox dashboard, you should see
a blank option select it then press:

A-DOWN-A-Right-Right-A-A-A/


ok i did not see a blank option...so i had nowhere to go. well i ftp'd to my xbox using the mechassult save so i tried to do that again so i could ftp and fix whatever was wrong but when i try to launch evox it goes black and then white words flash on the screen....i am not able to make out all of it but it appears to say
"phenoix bios loader 1.4.1" then some info, websites etc..  and it ends talking about a usb port. anyway after that, which appears to be the loading screen of PBL?, it just goes dark... the xbox is on but nothing happens.. like i said sorry if this is somthing stupid, but could you please help out. or at least give me a way to re try it all. i cannot ftp now because i cant get to the evox screen. anyway thanks!
