The clock loop has to do with software exploits. If you installed a chip you can never have a clock loop (at least usually never). Your loop might be another loop but it's not a clock loop.

Alright, since this is the official clock loop thread, I figured I'd post my problem here even though it's been a while since the last reply.

Anyway, I've got this 1.4 xbox with no mods/exploits at all. Well, I believe the guy tried to install a font exploit but has since removed it. I hotswapped the sucker and took a look and I can find no excess files on the drive. I tried the advice about clock loops like putting in an audio CD, connecting it to a network, etc. and it hasn't ended. Every now and again (seems random) it will take an extra long time to boot and then shoot to error 13.

How in the hell can I fix this one? Would hotswapping and isntalling a font exploit like bert & ernie reloaded help? And on that note, would I want to put free-x/evox on there as well, or just the fonts? I'd really like to see this thing end. It boots DVDs fine but not audio CDs, haven't tried it with a game.

edit: I just had a thought...would hot swapping it and filling the c:\ drive with an MS dash I know to work get me out of it? IE I would just copy the files from my own box, hotswap the broken one to the computer and replace the old MS files with mine. Would that help or just screw it up even more?

Reverting to MS Dash off your Xbox will get you out of it.

If you're going to install an exploit, go for nDure or UXE, they don't get clock loops (that's why this thread died off).

Look at the timestamp on the post before yours. This thread has been dead for over a year.

The advent of softmod UDE (followed UXE) consigned clock loops to history.

Why did nobody just use the audio hack? Lol!
But yeah, Im'a add something to the frontend of this post so hopefully people using Google can realize this is seriously ancient...

do you have to do this every time you get a "clock loop" or is it only one time only, please answer! i've just got a xbox that has this clock loop and this solution is the most easiest out of them all lol
