I have developed a new package! Yes, already

Now my Font/Audio package can install direct from a Memory Card!

YES, there IS a way to de-compress the fonts from the Hard Drive! And I have done done it

I am doing some further testing

but it looks sweet.

Also, there is more to it than before, this package installs 3 Dashboards:

- EvolutionX
- MXM
- UnleashX

My original plan was to include Avalaunch as well, but it was WAY too big at almost 5mb compressed

So now you have a choice

Install the hacks, then select your dashboard from the menu

you can even change dashboards later if you like, its simple!

Also, I plan on "Splitting" the packagae into seperate Dash options, SO an Ava package will be out, along with the others

SO, if you would like to test this please PM me and I will make the arrangements, for now you MUST have:

- An 8mb memory card and actionreplay device
- MechAssault
- Virgin Xbox (you can de-hack your xbox to get this)

Thats it, FTP access is no longer needed

Sounds great, I would test for you but I can't stand the fonts hack.. Audio is the only truly safe way to go.

I'll test it out on my box when I have some spare time. I'll flip the chip off to return it to a "virgin" state.

Dashboard: Live 2.0 (I can downgrade to 4920 if needed)

EDIT:
What fonts are you including in this release? I hope it's the MA fonts.

this should be nice, i was planning on modding a friends xbox, but I guess I will wait for this. Thanks for your other tutorial, I love having both audio and font exploits installed. Audio package is handy when I want to move my xbox around, but I prefer using the Font exploit normally. Keep up the good work!!

OK, I have a few people that can test this now once I have placed the final little touches

Give it a week or so and it should come out.

As for the seperated versions with just a single Dash a few more weeks

Any ideas for this?

I may also install some essential apps like Boxplorer and DVD2XBOX and DVD-X, still unsure as yet..

All I can say is being able to uncompress (zip) on the xbox makes life so much better for all of us!

ok... first of all... I'm a total noob to the xbox internals (hardware&software) so sorry if the questions are stupid.
1. does this reflash your bios or do any permanent damage(or danger of it)? cause I only have and can afford 1 xbox.
2. does the font exp. have to be used?
3. will it work on a 128mb usb stick(with adapter)
4. are there any files that need to be backed up to protect(if needed as virgin again)
5. what do I need to know to use it.
6. what way can the files be transfered to a memory stick... standard explorer interace?(or certain program)
7. what kernel and dash versions does the exploit work on(and how to tell the versions)I know i have version 1.0 xbox cause i bought it the day it came out!
8. does it still boot into the default xbox screen?
9. If I Fu.. up my box will you guys talk me through fixing it?
I would be glad to test it if you help this noob out!
*my main reason for wanting to do this... is that I love halo and I just want to be able to be another character I.E. Elite, hunter... etc... *with the halo trainer that I got*(and I'm too cheap to buy a mod chip...lmao)

it doesnt flash bios (your bios is write protected)
yes it uses the font exploit (but it's included in the package, you have nothing to do)
you should always backup your C drive
it will work on a 128Mb USB
you dont need to know much if you read tutos
there is a program to transfer an xbox game on a xbox formated usb stick (format it by plugin it in your xbox!)
you have to use dash 4920 (at least for the audio hack to work)
for now, it work on all kernels under 5530 (correct me if I am wrong)
yes it boots in the M$ dash, but the xbox live icon is replaced by phoenix

It all fits onto an 8mb memory card, includes 3 dashboards, the fonts and the audio hack..

its being "sent out"

to the testers that PMed me at the weekend, sorry if you missed out but it will be ready soon..

I just need to add a few more features such as:

- remove fonts from C (if you want just the audio and no switch)
- remove package (gets rid off all the installed files)

this will probably be added after the testers have fed back..

Also, the config menu and installer is all based around UnleshX so I am working on my own skin for the installer with some nice pretty logos
