Just a quick question...

I know this has probably been asked before, and I'm somewhat of an MXM noob...

How do I apply new skins?  I've got some mxm ones downloaded, but I can't figure out how to "install" them properly.  Is there a special folder or something?

But to save you the effort..

run tHc or whatever from a CD/DVD as restore.xbe it should load it from the BIOS automatically wink.gif

If that fails, then just run the thing as an app, what are you trying to achive anyways?

Well basically, when I screw up my tHc dash mods, i get error 21, and because tHc is my default, it means i have to hotswap everytime to recover from it. (i dont have MA or anything) so running it as an app wouldnt help cause I cant boot to any hacked dash to run unsigned code.

Are you modding tHc code?

Adding tabs etc (so much fun I know)?

If so, boot it from MXM untill you have it right and only THEN make it your default wink.gif

Thanks for a kick ass package by the way I would use ur softmod light but i like this better (im hoping u come out with thos phat packages u were talking about once) keep it up man ur an awesome contributer to the scene

You wont screw up your system by replaceing the "P" file with an older version of PBL, just remember to re-name the file wink.gif

As for how it works, its something like this:

> Xbox Loads
> Hacked Fonts Load
> XBOX LIVE changes to PHEONIX
> Selecting PHEONIX boots E:\PBL\P
> PBL Loads looks for default.bin BIOS
> BIOS is set to load MXM

As for the phat versions, I was hopeing they could sort out Reset on Eject with Doubledash first, then I would make it compatible with that.

I still belive running 2 exploits is as safe as doubledash, and at the moment is easier to implement... I think when they have got doubledash 'done' I will probably have the new packages have the option to use that or do it the classic way wink.gif

did u patch the game so the media flag was ok? incuse u didnt know, m$ puts a media flag in all .xbes so that they can only be run of the xbox game discs, if you patch it, you cant run them off anything. I would recommend using DVD2Xbox for copying games as that has a built-in patch function smile.gif

wow... they now have the type exploit ive been waiting for... i have live 2.0...lol
so now i dont have to downgrade correct(just extremely shocked!)
btw, what is this double dash. is it just running the original M$ dash with another?
and if anyone knows... will you tell me EXACTLY how to perform the new 2.0 "easter-egg" setup. i.e. is the gamesave exploit needed (to upload files) before trying the <<eggsBox>> in audio?
