can someone please give me an answer A.S.A.P  I"m near the end and don't want to unhook my xbox and do this all over again.  I'm on a 56k  and it's a business line  so i can't stay on here all day  I just need to know  that since all i see is  system and a few other things where do i put my audio exploit file cause i don't see  an  partitions at all.  and fat-x-explorer doesn't work for me it just crashes.  anyway where do i place  my pbl 1.4.1 folder    or the files in it  and the audio exploit.   thank you thank you thank you

I haven't seen the other threads, but it sounds like you're still just loking at hte C drive (in your ftp client, I assume?). You need to go up a level or two in the Xbox directory and find the e: drive. you may need to put back the e:\ drive files too if you haven' already uploaded it, and you can find the right directory this way.

now look at this link and then can someone tell me on this picture where to place the exploits?  No i'm not stupid  but when a tutorial says  place the st.db  in e:\tdatafffe0000,  I'm kinda wondering where it is since i don't see E:\tdatafffe000

can u see a partition name "DATA", thats ur E:\ srive.

OK Your connecting to your Xbox thru an FTP client correct?  When you connect, you should see a listing of the partitions in your xbox. I tried to open that pic, but the link didnt work.   When you connect, you should see C, D, E, F, X, Y, and Z drives.  If you dont, if all you see it a few folders and some .xtf files, then at the top of those folders and files you should see a line with two periods, like this '..' Double click that and youll be at the top of the drive, where you should NOW see all the partitions.

ok this is exactly what i did  maybe someone can help me out here.

1. us the cd method kingroach told me to unlock the drive (doesn't show up on pc but hd driver says it found it)
2. made two backups of the original xbox hdd
3.  fixed one of them in winhex so i wouldn't get the filsize errors.
4. following another tutorial from a thread here (same one about the filename size error)  restored the xbox hdd image file i fixed with winhex
5. restored the system only from the origina xbox hdd backup
6. can see system and a few folders in the left panel of hdd driver but nothing else like e:\,c:\,d:\
7. Am going crazy pulling my hair out trying to figure out why i don't see any partitions
   and wondering how in the hell am i supposed to use the audio exploit when it says to place the st.db in e:\tdatafffee0000  folder.
8 tried every other xplorer program and most crash, fat-x-explorer says it found my xbox harddrive at pyschical drive 2 but crashes right after.
9. can someone pleassssssse tell me how to get this thing working  I been at this  24 hours now and even though i'm close  i'm still far away from finishing this exploit mod

ok i tried a program called fatxexplorer. this program just lets ya look at xbox bins and stuff.  I look at the original xbox hdd backup image i made and i see a partition caled partition 4 (gamesaves) then when i look through that i see  the tdata folder and all where i need to place my audio exploit  then i tried to look at my xbox hdd image that i ran through winhex to fix the filename size erros and  surprise no 4th partition listed.  so I guess this is my problem huh?  I also need to know how to get fatxplorer working cause my cousin said i needed to make a folder called bios in the system part  but  this program detects my xbox hdd then crashes.  any ideas?

I think its for the fixing stuff u did. I never had this type of problem so dont know but u can try hexing it again, probably u deleted few digits more that u were supposed to do.

FAT-X-THing never works. but i can use it to read my image though. or u can try x linux.

Are you upgrading the HDD?  Thats the only reason I can see you using the Fatxexplorer and hooking the HDD up to your PC.  If this is the stock XBox HDD, you should be able to do all of this with the gamesave and FTP.

no, he is trying to do a softmod with exploits. and HDD_DRiver were giving him infinite file size error. U face this things when u try to do hot swap and HDD_driver is the only program to do it.

I did the audio exploit for my brother, and altho I did add a large HDD I used my chipped box to do that.  As far as getting the stock XBox HDD running the exploit, shouldnt he just need to get Mordens Gamesave to the mem card which he can do with an Xbox controller, USB cable spliced with the controller, some drivers for the PC, and the MS Mem card.  After that, he can load up the game, then game save, then Evox, and FTP any files he needs over.  Isnt this a much easier way to do it then the Hot Swap Method, or am I missing something?

Edit:I only paid $8 USD for my mem card a Wal-Mart.  Already had a USB cable around, and figd if I have the game, then I can do it for friends just as easy.  Seems like such a headache to do the hot swap.  

I look at the time and bitch factor.  If I can save my self alot of time and alot of bitching by spending $30, its worth it to me. lol.  Hotswap compared to mem card time wise, 2 mins for the mem card way, how many hours have people spent over the hotswap?

1 mem card= $20
1 extention cable( for controler mod) = $5
Game= $19.99 if bought, $ 5 if rented

Total of $30 to $40 buck but hotswapping is free and u don hav to cos a dime
and If i want to spend $30 then I would buy a xenium for $51 or cheapmod for less than $20.

Look at the time and problems for modding an xbox:
-Hotswap: Might take several hours of pain and sweat and errors and might shorten the life of your hd.
-Gamesave: Finished in one minute without opening your xbox.
Sure it takes some money but you can then use it to mod all your friends xboxes too so it earns his own money back. So i say it's a one time investment that is surely worth it.

First of all, no use trying to do any modding AT ALL when you are in a hurry. You are bound to make some fuck up sooner or later and thats certain. Stop for today, take a breather.

Second, just do the memcard exploit. You obviously arent very familiar with your computer or the xbox, trying to pull off a hotswap u could do some damage to your hard drive and thus render your xbox useless.

Heck you just need a mem card and rent the game. I didnt even get the extender cable cause i just had a usb cable pigie bag on the one of my Controller S so whenever i have to i plug the controller directly into my PC. So get a used memcard for like 10-20$ and rent the game for a week for 4$. It will save u tons of trouble if u fuck up ur HD. Plus doing it via FTP is like copying files to your PC harddrive. Real easy...
