Matrix Xbox Live Help
« on: October 04, 2004, 09:00:00 PM »

OK, I installed a matrix chip in my xbox and I also added an external switch to turn it off and on easily.  With the chip is on, it goes to the EvolutionX dashboard and with i turn it off it goes to the MS Dash like a normal xbox with no game in it.  Is this all I have to do for Xbox live, just turn the switch so the chip is off?  If not, what else do I have to do cause I can't follow the tutorial very well.  Finally, can I play Xbox live with the games on my harddrive by starting up the xbox with the mod chip on and then loading the game and finally turning the switch off while the game is running, just wondering. :uhh:

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure. I'm going to take a wild guess and say there is no way to play the games on my hdd on Xbox live. Is this correct also?

As for now you are correct.

There are rumors all over the places about a new stealth technology that will enable people to use xbox live via hacked bioses and backedup games ect...

This might be still way out there (1 year or so) but if it does happen that would be very kewl at the very least.

If you could, you wouldn't have needed a mod chip in the first place.. Would you?

Heinz1010,

To play on xbox live you need the origanial game and original bios booting.

Oh yea you'll need an xbox live account also.  Assumeing that would be your next question.
